Adrallan Oligarchy

flag_111.jpg

Message to the citizens of the Oligarchy-

These are dark times. Never before have citizens of the Oligarchy fallen to enemies. The people of Bizanze are dying by the millions. However, we promise you that there will be no more retreat. The Euterians are being crippled by our newest organization, and our Navy is growing at a rate they can not hope to compare. We will soon overwhelm with gigantic fleets of superior ships, with superior tactics. To be sure this war is won, we must stand together. Citizens can not be helping communist scum while their fellow citizens on Bizanze suffer and die. And the riots must cease. Any disruption now will only lead to more death and destruction. This war is only going poorly because of the actions of a few commanders that refused to follow orders and protical, resulting in their ships being destroyed. No rebellion, no revolution, will be able to replace this glorious Oligarchy with anything even comparable in efficiency and organization. Even on a full war economy we are far and away the richest polity in the galaxy. We must stand united, with all citizens putting their all in the war effort, with no thoughts of dissent. We, the Magnificent Triumvirate, will lead you through these trying times to crush the invaders and restore the glory of the oligarchy. Not one step back, No more sacrifice of land. We will have victory. Onward citizens, to war! Remember Bizanze!

-Official statement from the Triumvirate

small rule on order modification. If you are ordering 50 or less regiments you can combine it with shipbuilding, more then needs its own order.

In times of Crisis, the Galatic Federation must respond to the threat of these Space Bees and protect the republic of Cyngi. As such, I am ordering a massive increase on our military to have it expanded and fitted to stop these Insects from bringing harm to citizens of the Federation.

Polity Name: The Confederation of Invio

Government System: Military Dictatorship
e17bb447-cdbd-44ec-8bea-7f5376718e28jpg644x9000_q100_zpsea3d0ff4.jpg

Leader: Chancellor James Ford

R. Positive Traits:
· Survivors – The people that make up the Confederation of Invio have all survived what is essentially an apocalyptic wasteland. They are able to make do with less when they need to.
· Fighters – Nearly every person on Invio has fired a weapon at least once, and most are well trained in their use in order to be able to defend themselves from native threats.
· Colonizers – Most people from the confederation are used to moving as they need to, so they are more than willing to colonize new lands.
· Raw Resources – The people of the Confederation became quite good at extracting what they need from even the littlest amount of resources..

R. Negative Traits:
· Small Population – The near destruction of Invio greatly reduced the number of people on the planet, and the invasion of the V.O.C. resulted in a large loss of life as well.
· Limited Industry – While plenty of empty factories still exist, few have been started up again.
· Old ships – All of the Confederation’s ships are from before the war that nearly destroyed the planet.
· Little funding for science – With the recovery of Invio still underway, new technologies are largely being ignored.

Species description: Human

Home world description:
Invio has two major continents, separated by ocean on both sides, with small island chains running between them. Due to the orbital bombardment it has suffered, large swaths of Invio have turned to desert. The planet is also pockmarked with craters, some several miles wide. In the areas that were not turned to desert, nature has reclaimed much of the manmade structures, leaving what used to be large metropolises as little more than small towns. Despite this many new cities are beginning to be built and old ones reclaimed.

The capital city of Pintos, surrounded by desert.

History:
Invio was a mineral-rich world, which boasted several interesting indigenous species, and a wide variety of flora and fauna. Several nations rose and fell over the centuries, with truly accurate historical records appearing sometime around the start of the bronze age. The next several millennia went as could be expected, with war, colonialism, imperialism, and of course, taxes.

The next truly noteworthy thing to occur on Invio was the development of military and commercial spaceflight, involving the mining of asteroids and moons, in addition to the threat of orbital bombardment. Unlike many planets, when Invio reached this level of technological development there was no planetary government, but rather two superpowers locked in a cold war. It didn’t take long for near complete planetary annihilation to follow. While no one knew which side fired first or even why they fired at all, all that mattered was someone had, irrevocably changing Invio from that day on.

Over the next several decades the survivors of the planet’s bombardment struggled just to survive against the various threats that assailed them. It was the rise of the Siccitas Rangers that put an end to the madness that plagued the planet. First they secured the city of Siccitas in the south, empowering sheriffs to carry out justice and maintain the peace. Over the next few decades they expanded from city to city, expanding, knocking over dictatorships, peacefully absorbing communities when they could, and enforcing justice.

Within fifty years of the utter collapse of society, the Rangers had united vast swaths of the planet under their rule and reinstated a system of law and justice. From there they started looking for ways to start rebuilding beyond what they had, but found industry on a level as they had previously had was impossible given the destruction that the bombardment had caused. Rather than continue scrounging through ruins until every last can of food was gone, the first Chancellor (formerly Captain of the Siccitas Rangers) ordered that the planet would be evacuated and a new one would be sought out.

Captain James Ford succeeded the Chancellorship following the first chancellor’s death and continued the plans, using every salvaged ship they could find to evacuate the planet’s population in search of a new home. The fleet spent over five years searching for a new homeworld, with all nonessential personnel in suspended animation, before they reached the V.O.C. Colony world of Cylon. Low on supplies and desperate to end the aimless wandering Chancellor Ford ordered they land on the planet almost immediately taking fire from the colonies defenses. Luckily the nations of Invio had built up a massive stockpile of weapons that still was largely intact even after fifty years of fighting.

V.O.C. forces on Cylon were defeated quickly and plans were made to take establish the planet as Invio Nova. Within a few months V.O.C. troops tried to reclaim the planet, leading Chancellor Ford to launch attacks on the planets of Cape Colony and and New Amsterdam as well, wresting them from V.O.C. control. It was this display of force that allowed them to sign a peace treaty with the V.O.C, ending the war and establishing themselves on the galactic stage.

Political Structure of the Republic

As it name implies, the Federal Republic of Baekdu is, at least in name, a federal state. The revolutionary communes, after uniting under the flag of the National Revolutionary Army, originally styled themselves the “United Communes of Baekdu;” for various reasons, the name was quickly changed to the Federal Republic. Under the Constitution, the Republic is divided into Communes, each of which in turn is divided into fifty Departments; each department then has its own seat in the Federal Assembly. Communes theoretically represent cities, but the degree of urbanization of Baekdu and the central planning of the outer worlds of the Republic means that each “city” is massive and can take up the size of a continent. Each commune is headed by a Mayor elected by its citizens. These mayors are more akin to provincal governors than city managers, weilding a fair degree of power over their respective Communes. The Joseon system has seven communes, five for the cities of Baekdu and two for the lunar cities of Wiesongbuk and Wiesongnam. Each other system has one commune encompassing all Baekdu settlement in the region. While this would seem to overrepresent the homeworld, in fact the massive disparity in population means that the outer worlds are in fact overrepresented in the Assembly. As a final note, all Baekdu-settled planets are immediately incorporated as full Communes once they reach the appropriate population size. There are thus no Baekdu “colonies” as such.

The Elections of An. 26

The An. 25 Radical-National Liberal government recieved a mandate to curb the power of the military after the twin incidents of Field Marshal Yi’s attempted coup and the forcing through of an extremely unpopular arms sale to the Adrallans by the military-conservatives in the Nationalists threatening to bring down the government. On the surface, the Radicals recieved a stunning mandate and were by far the strongest party, paving the way for moderate socialist governance. Looking deeper, however, both the left and the right were beginning to radicalize, and the An. 26 elections would mark a great realignment and divide the traditional Nationalist-Radical paradigm into three major blocs.

The Syndicalist Party remained in the control of its totalitarian clique, but was expected to see a massive uptick in support. With the Karastani government a lost cause, Kim Jongnam and his allies turned to the Socialist Workers’ and Peasants’ Federation for support and, accordingly, changed his line on the reason syndicalism was needed: that it was not because republican democracy was decandent and corrupt, but that syndicalism was “true democracy” and was better at expressing the will of the people. It was also at this time that the party’s official ideology was written: with the excessive level of centralization and total role of the state in all aspects of life, it was termed “totalitarian socialism,” or “Totalism” for short.

The Radical Union of the Republic was, essentially, a socialist party, but it covered an extremely broad spectrum of ideologies, from democratic socialists and utopian Syndicalists on its left to anti-military liberals on its right. Intra-party fights were legendary, and the Radical Union was only glued together by two things: their mutual hatred of the Nationalists and the military, and Consul Son. As a moderate socialist, she had qualities appealing to both wings of the party; as leader of the Radical Union ever since its inception in An. 12 and Consul for eight years, she managed to balance the socialist demands of her party’s left wing with the openness and liberalism of the right wing effectively, with a fair dose of pragmatism besides, and was one of the few things holding the party together. When she announced her unwillingness to seek the Consulship again, the liberal and socialist wings of the party could not agree on a successor. When it appeared that the socialist delegates’ preferred candidate had little chance of winning, they stormed out of the Radical Union’s convention and formed their own party, the Baekdu Republican Socialist League. The BRSL set out to aggressively curb military power and avoid intervention in international affairs outside of the IDU while building socialism at home first; the remaining Radicals were not pacifist on the same level of the BRSL and advocated for a balance between the state and the private sector. The Radicals, caught wrong-footed, suddenly found themselves short of a majority in Parliament and began drawing closer to their National Liberal coalition partners in order to hopefully retain a hold on government in the upcoming election.

The National Liberals did not remain quiet, either. Strict laissez-faire economics was somewhat of a taboo in Baekdu politics, as it was taken for granted that a free market led to consolidation which led to corpocracy. As the problems with economic growth in the Republic became more apparent, however, a strain of thought emerged that a free market with strictly enforced anti-trust legislation could both create prosperity and not collapse into corporate dictatorship. This was somewhat of a radical idea, one whose previous largest advocates were in the Imperial Party, but it began gaining traction in non-socialist circles during the An. 25 government. Several National Liberal deputies began advocating for it, and while it was not adopted into the party line (explicitly calling for a free market was still basically heresy,) the party became the most pro-free market by far.

The right was in shambles in the run-up to the election. The ongoing army purges and government investigations exposed the truly stunning levels of corruption in the army and the military wing of the Nationalists. With scandal after scandal piled on, and the general public massively turned against the army after the An. 25 incidents, the Nationalists were mainly focused on saying as little as possible and cutting their losses before trying to regroup in the next election. What little campaigning they did do was slandering the government as inefficient (in contrast to the army’s efficiency) and anti-Kronesian propaganda, saying that only they could protect the public from the mad Emperor and his endless stream of ships. The Nationalists would lose; it was only a question of by how much.

It was expected that the Imperials might benefit from an upswing in support from disgruntled rightists that had formerly caucused with the Nationalists, but they by and large did not. The Imperials pointed out, quite rightly, that unlike the Nationalists, they had never endorsed the abolition of the Assembly and military rule like Yi Kyunghun. Regardless, monarchism was still fundamentally unpopular, and the Imperials found that they were doing best as advocates for Xin Li voters rather than serious monarchists. As their non-Xin Li backers had been slowly leaving ever since the An. 22 elections, the Imperials contemplated dropping explicit monarchism entirely and sticking to promoting the interests of the Xin Li community.

The ultra-right was, therefore, in need of a new champion, and it got one in the form of disgruntled Nationalists who left the party. Instead of shutting up after the coup, they openly took the side of the army, saying that democracy was fundamentally unworkable and that Yi Kyunghun had the right idea. They declared that democracy was fundamentally contrary to human nature, and even said that the Corpocracy fell because it was too democratic and allowed for bickering amongst its internal factions. The party believed that one absolute “Jidoja,” or “leader,” was necessary to guide all of Baekdu. The party seriously contemplated calling itself simply “The Party,” to reflect that it was the only true party for the Baekdu people, but opted instead for the “Anti-Imperialist National Front,” or “AINDF,” playing both on anti-Kronesian sentiment, their notions of democracy leading to chaos and thus the hated Kronesian imperialism, their conception of the nation ruling over the people, and confusing voters into voting for them if they only saw the name and not the party’s actual beliefs. They could only be described (though no such word exists in Baekdu) as fascists.

Presidential Election, An. 26

Kim Jongnam, Syndicalist Party, 12%
Hwang Yaewon, Baekdu Republican Socialist League, 29%
Im Yoona, Radical Union of the Republic, 16%
Kim Taeyeon, National Liberal Party, 38%
Sun Zhang, Baekdu Imperial Party, 4%
Park Nogeun, Anti-Imperialist National Front, 1%

Run-off Election:

Hwang Yaewon, Baekdu Republican Socialist League, 53%
Kim Taeyeon, National Liberal Party, 47%

Hwang Yaewon is thus duly elected as Fifth President of the Republic with 53 percent of the vote.

Federal Assembly, An. 26

p9RramO.png

From left to right:
Syndicalist Party: 79 seats
Baekdu Republican Socialist League: 227 seats
Radical Union of the Republic: 100 seats
National Liberal party: 161 seats
Nationalist Party: 26 seats
Baekdu Imperial Party: 4 seats
Anti-Imperialist National Front: 3 seats

Blocs:
Socialists (SP and BRSL, in coalition): 306 seats - Government
Liberals (RUR and NLP, in coalition): 261 seats
Anti-Democrats (NP, BIP, and AINF): 33 seats

It was clear that the main beneficiaries of the split in the Radical Union were the Socialists. The voting population generally took a large turn towards the left in the election, and Consul Son's departure and the party fracturing left the Radicals with little time to find strong candidates. They would likely not be doomed to irrelevance as the Nationalists seemed to be, but had still taken a beating. For similar reasons, the Syndicalists had their best night in the history of the Republic, taking a record 79 seats from voters angry at the military's arrogance and demanding of democracy. Ironically, it was the Syndicalists who were the most militaristic and distrusting of democracy of the major parties excepting the AINF, but this was widespread mostly among the party elites; their "true democracy" campaign seemed to have gained a great deal of traction.

The National Liberals had a very respectable outing, gaining 40 seats on their previous performance, mostly from the rapidly imploding Nationalists. They had officially established themselves as a party that could form a government, and their endorsements of some liberalization of markets did not provoke too much voter anger.

The anti-democratic right were the clear losers, and none of the three parties wanting to work with any of the others did not help matters. As they had only mounted a half-hearted campaign, had their political machines dismantled by government investigations and were hated by the public, they only held 26 seats. Those that remained in the party knew that a new angle of attack would be needed; some thought that the answer was going against the Republic and moving towards the AINF, some thought it best to reform the party around standard conservatism, others had not much of a plan at all and assumed the army would come back and support them. The Imperials got a few extra seats back as they moderated, and while they were still politically irrelevant, it gave them hope that they could one day find a useful niche and come near a position of power. Finally, the new AINF took three seats with the backing of a few disgraced, but still powerful, ex-generals and ultra-right organizations.

It fell to the Baekdu Republican Socialist League to decide the government, as the Syndicalists refused to coalition with anyone else and neither the liberals nor anti-democrats could form a majority coalition on their own. Not wishing to go back to working with the liberal wing of the Radical Party that they just abandoned, the choice was obvious: a Socialist-Syndicalist coalition would carry the day. BRSL party leader Kim Yoori became the Republic's fifth Consul, and the new socialist government began to go about the business of governing. Consul Kim was a more radical socialist than Consul Son, but it was clear that the Syndicalists' increasing hostility to democracy was a problem that would have to be confronted. It was anyone's guess how long the new government would last.

Humanist revolution:

Welcome once more to: Galactic News, with you host Tom Triucker. Now Broadcasting in the Unison too!

“Today we will be talking about the events on the Xarvis Commonwealth. Our news corresponsal Vitria Xathi will be having a live conversation with us today to inform us of the situation.” “Tell us Vitria, how is the situation on Xarvis at the moment?”

“Well Tom the war continues to progress in Xarvis and no sign of wanting to reach a compromise or an agreement between the two sides have been observed by anyone.”

“Is that Artillery shells noise i hear in the background? Vitra, i thought you were located in the safe Gettysburg system”

“Yes, Tom. I am currently located located indeed in the system, but what you hear is the ongoin battle for the city of Vermont after the surprise attack and invasion by Transhumanist forces 3 months ago which has still not been repelled from the system. The ongoing offensive have left thousand of dead all over the system as the so called “Grand Transhuman Unionist Army” have invaded most of the system colonies.”

“So in your opinion the Humanist cause is doomed? as now they fight for their own strongholds against the governmental forces”

“Its hard to say Tom, Last news we received was that New Virginia system had completely fallen to the Humanist forces as the victory from last year had destroyed any morale for the Transhumanist militias.”

“Vitra do you posses any information on the intentions of General Napoleon. E. Lee?, as you tell us he is not fighting in the Gettysburg system at the moment”

“Tom from our affiliate corresponsal in Rapirxaria may be able to answer that better.Trys Takasawe do you copy us?”

“Yes i do Vitra and Tom, what you hear at the moment is the chanting of the Humanist forces as the final assault on Governmental forces is being done at this moment. They chant for God’s help in war and for the cause of Humanity.”

“Trys could you explain the situation and rumors ships with emblems from The Network has been seen on the system?”

“Yes, Tom. Hundreds of ships with the Network emblem has been observed surprisingly in contact with the Humanist forces and on what could be call transferring supplies, weapons, and some say even credits. This is baffling as the Network is an AI and furthermore part of the Galactic Alliance where rumor are abundant on a possible intervention in favor of the Transhumanist forces. Our contacts inform us that weaponry of all class has come in this ships including hundred of orbital defenses which have been launched in the outer rings of the system already and more and more are being established in a clear sign the Humanist expect some sort of threat from the Galactic alliance.”

“So what you tell us is that the combined Humanist Fleet from the Gettysburg system have decided to remain and finish the Transhumanist in the system even though they are under attack on Gettysburg system?”

“Thats is correct Tom. our contacts in the Fleet tell us that General Lee has decided that is more important to secure the system, and that the gettysburg remaining militias can hold off the invasion by unionist forces (as they have been nicknamed) until next year for an relief campaign next year. From what we are told This system remaining Transhumanist forces even though doing their best won't be able to hold much longer, especially when the planet of Maryland surrendered to avoid damage and with them 40% of the remaining forces in the area. At the moment the last remaining planet is being invaded without any opposition in space as its fleet deserted last week. Its expected that they will fall by new years eve in a week from now.”

“Thats are the news on the Xarvis crisis, we can only hope that the conflict and the dead of millions end soon.”

That has been the Galactic News, with you host Tom Triucker, and remember now we broadcast in Unison too!

The New Consul

Kim Yoori, fifth Consul of the Federal Republic of Baekdu, was born into a military family. Both her mother and father had fought on the barricades in Neo Pusan and were steadfast military-conservatives. Despite coming from a very conservative and well-to-do family, she became dedicated to the Socialist cause during her time at university, even turning down a student deferment to serve in the Republican Marines because she believed it was too "bourgeois" to do otherwise. Her unit was among those deployed in the Kelmar Intervention, and despite serving with distinction and earning a Star of Merit, it was then that she was exposed to the horrors of war. She returned home with a plan to become more involved in political affairs, and she stood as a Radical Union candidate in the An. 22 elections. She became well-known for her strident pacifism and willingness to face the military head-on, and was one of the main proponents of the Socialist split from the Radical Union. She quickly rose to the top of the new Baekdu Republican Socialist League and, with the meteoric rise of her party to power, became the Republic's fifth Consul. A pacifist and socialist first and foremost, she sympathizes with the Syndicalists to a degree, but finds their militarism to be a serious problem. How Consul Kim would leave her mark on the Republic was yet to be seen.

Do You Hear The People Sing?

Consul Kim Yoori's Inaguration Speech, An. 26

Fellow citizens,

I thank you for your support, first and foremost. This has been a very difficult time for our great Republic. We have had successes - the founding of the Commune of Magosung being chief among them - but we have faced much strife at home. The disgraced Field Marshal Yi Kyunghun launched his infamous and traitorous efforts to destroy democracy, along with his military cronies forcing through the Adrallan arms deal. I am no stranger to war - I served in the Kelmar Intervention - which is exactly why I am opposed to it. It is easy for a man like the Field Marshal to sit in his comfortable office manipulating tactical holodisplays, sending our boys and girls off to die with each swipe of his fingers. When you have served on the ground in a place like Jekas, you understand two things: the futility of war, and democracy as being the only thing worth fighting for.

The Nationalists always proclaimed their goals of spreading the revolution, but they cared nothing for the revolution at home! They would sit there and twiddle their thumbs while the rich got richer and the poor got poorer! While Consul Son and her government did much good for equality and democracy, those two inseparable concepts that makes the Republic the great state that it is, there is much more to be done. We shall bring peace and prosperity to our great Republic through diplomacy, open and fair trade, and protection for the workers, the unsung heroes of the Republic. We shall not convince the galaxy of the justice of our revolution through force of arms; no, we shall lead by example! We shall shine down upon them like a great sun, for when we have captured the hearts of the galaxy's people, their minds shall follow.

Let it be known that I shall not tolerate the military's arrogance and kleptocratic practices. Like all the Consuls before me and indeed President Lee Hyori herself, I will never let democracy bow to the military. I promise you, our Republic shall enter a new age, one where our people are happy, safe, prosperous and secure. We shall venture unto the unknown and find new worlds! We shall bring about the quantum revolution that showed so much promise from our previous efforts! We shall prove to all the galaxy that one need not sacrifice freedom for prosperity!

I thank my fellow citizens once again for entrusting me with this position. I shall do my best in realizing a bright, socialist and democratic future for the Republic.

긴 공화국 살기! / Long live the Republic!

- Kim Yoori, Consul of the Federal Republic of Baekdu

One Last Signature

Hahm Jeemin had the new Consul's victory speech playing as she was cleaning out the last few personal items out of her office. As the speech concluded, she heard a knock at the door. It seemed that outgoing President Lee Bamki wished to pay a final visit.

"Guess you picked the wrong side of the fence with this whole Radical split business," said the ex-President.

"I suppose so, but I don't regret it. This Yoori girl seems like she means well, but she has no grasp of galactic affairs. She'd let the Kronesians push her around ten ways to Tenthday. As for the rest of it, I never was much of a socialist myself; I like the new Radical party just fine. Not as dogmatic as the socialists, not as naive about free markets as the National Liberals. No offense meant, Mr. President."

President Lee chuckled. "It's quite all right, I'm not much for this...market liberalism, I think they're calling it, either. I must admit that working with you has done me some good. I learned how to...well, stand up for myself. Stick it to the man, as you kids say."

Jeemin laughed as well. It was quite amazing, really; ever since he gave the order to hold back Field Marshal Yi in the Nivose Coup, the President seemed like a different person. He would speak to the public more, make more decisions for himself, and even smile on occasion. It was as if he had discovered his long-lost backbone.

"Mr. President, what are you going to be doing now that your term is over?"

"Go back to the IDU, I expect. The diplomatic service is where I belong; being President taught me that, if nothing else. Before that, though, I've heard rumors that the new government is lifting restrictions on the Saxeroroos Restricted Zone. I was something of a rare metal prospector back in my youth, so I'm half thinking of renting a mining ship and heading out there to relive the old days a bit. Even old men have to entertain themselves somehow," replied the President.

"Well, I'll be here. Just because we're in opposition doesn't mean we're going all going to stop breathing," Jeemin said.

"Indeed. Oh, there's one other thing. In fact, it was the whole reason why I came here in the first place. The IDUMJ return fleet has been camping out on a moon in the Dobxe system and we've reached an agreement with the Kronesians to ensure that no war we don't want breaks out. I'd need you to sign it, as our last acts in office."

"I'll take a look, Mr. President," said Jeemin.

"Don't get too sentimental about it," replied President Lee. "I highly doubt this will be the last treaty you ever sign."

Turn 7 Part-1

[CenterThe Network

1)With the Network in agreement, they place a new order of ships to be constructed quickly, however due to the large order it is impossible to complete within a single year, many estimates say that they won't be able completed until another two years have passed much to the dismay of the network. (+3 CSBB,+10CA,+15BB)(+25 BB next turn)(+10 BB in two turns)

2)The Network wants to continue the construction of “Unobtainium” which started last year and was until recently expected to be completed this year. As they construction continued the crews ran into critical errors in the design of the orbital station, as such it had to be reworked to accustom the flaws and as such no real progress was done this year, quite a bit of capital was however spent trying to overcome the flaws of the blueprints.

.
EMg1hSx.jpg

3)The research into anti - worm nanites continue this year and barely finishes on time, it is however finished in the later part of the year and is distributed to the organic population. It doesn't take long before it before it shows an increase in the population as deaths are more rare as a result of the nanites. medical nanites completed, bonus to pop growth for organics)

4)With the agreement signed, the transfer of technology is done within acordance to the treaty.

Ratugan Kingdom

1)The Ratugon government decides to order the construction of several shipyards, feeling that the current ones are not sufficient for the Kingdom. As such the construction is quickly begun in the Kingdom and at the end of the year they are ready for the production of ships, the cost however also shows to the treasury and as such becomes a heavy investment.(+2 H.Shipyards)(-8 trillion)

9ktnhKn.jpg

2)With the Bees incoming into the galaxy after the attack on their colonies last year, the Kingdom fears the coming bees and as such order a large construction of ships for defence. The order despite having more shipyards at the end of the year is so massive that many fear that the ships will not be ready in time, estimates shows that it will take another four years to finish construction, whereas the bees are nowhere near that far away to completes.(+1 CS, +19 BB)(+20 BB next turn)(+10 BB, +10 CA in two turns)(+10 CA, +50 HC in 3 turns)(+50 HC, +70 frigates in 4 turns)

3)Similar to the fleet, the army is ordered for an upgrade with the incoming bees, as the order is more realistic for the army the order is able to be completed within the year with several mercs and soldiers being ready for deployment in the defense of Ratugan.(+15 marines, +10 HI,+20 INf, +19 LM)

4)Similar to the Network, the Ratugan sign the treaty and transfer the techs, in return for other techs, as such it gives the nation a boost in moral for the coming fight against the bees.

BRC

1)The Board decides to invest more resources into the shield project, they hope that it will be done at the end of the year. The project runs into problems at the end of the year but is able to finish it due to an old scientist who proves critical for the completion. This later turns out to be his final official action for the nation as he retires after the completion after a long life of service in his field.(+1 shield)

ZoL87Gy.jpg

2)The continuation of the hull technology also continues with new funds, they meet success early on in the year and as such tests with the new hull technology is done in a project known as the PCP, it turns out to be a limited success for the nation.(+1 hull)

3)The Board after a long times debate authorises the finalization and colonization of New Gyakk, they announce great success from the colony but as of yet it hasnt shown. As such they hope that the colony will show it in the coming year, but many believe that further government funding will be needed to see such improvement.(new gyakk colonized)

4)The Newly Created investement group decided that Ratugan Kingdom is a great place for them to finance bussiness as it has booming trade with several nations, they go and set shop On its Home system, and so investment in the area start but wont pay off for the time being as most money is put in a myriad of small businesses.

The Taligori

1)The Aestrix decides to order the promotion of assimilation within the Taligoriis, various campaigns and sponsorships are handed out to private organizations. As such the improvement quickly shows at the end of the year, when the old followers of Nocii show a much greater feeling to the Taligori and as such the stability of the nation seems to improve.(+stability)

2)Towards the end of the first half of the year, the government holds a great feast for the coming war, combined with the successful assimilation campaign it turns into a great propaganda move. As such many more people in the nation wishes to see the war continued and won, as such many in the government are willing to attempt taking advantage of the new move for more recruits in the war.(+war fervor)

3)With the nation hyped for the war, improvements in technology is made by the scientist in the nation, with such great diligence that they are able to outperform many expectations and at the end of the year they have new armor and weapons, which is quickly being distributed among the armed forces. (+1 mil level)

4)The government orders new soldiers for the army but severely underestimates the amount of people willing to join up the new course, as such at the end of the year the result of new forces is much lower than it could have been, it left many in the nation wonder if the government is truly willing to invest the resources needed to win the war.(+10 inf, +5 LM)

The Second Nocoii Holy War
The Redar Invasion
1)The commanders quickly set the nation in motion in speed for the war, the first target is the the system of Redar which is quickly blockaded by the fleet, they do however meet small resistance but is able to beat off the defenders due to them being caught unaware, as such only taking small casualties. (-1 BC,-3 HC, -6 LC, -10 frigates)

2)With Redar under blockade it means that an invasion of the planet is quickly followed, the generals are given orders to land and establish a base for a longer operation. However the Redar having prepared and even further rushed it as the battle fleet commenced in battle had prepared. As such the forces landing are under heavy fire from the instance of the invasion, after they started opening fire the transports quickly landed, already there did it go horrible with four transports being shot down when first spotted. The remaining of the forces landed and set up defensive positions but it didn't help them much, the transports quickly left the planet again, however another three got shot down in the process creating more chaos for the army. Many Taligoriis forces were shot in a fierce battle which the army had not prepared for at all.

QQLeobC.jpg
fter days of fighting it became clear that while they had won, they lost a large part of the invasion force in the process, as such many generals called for reinforcement to be instantly deployed, if not then they would be forced to retreat within the coming months of next year, many generals wanted to retreat already fearing they would be killed by the defending forces.(-13 infantry, -4 marines, -2 HI, - 1 LM)

The Nycolis Defense

Another much larger invasion force was sent to Nocolys in hopes for a quick victory. When the fleet arrived at Nocolys it became clear what horrible error that was made by High-Command as news of the Redar invasion had happened, the entire Nocolii fleet was amassed in the system. A heavy battle commenced over the planet between the two fleets, the commander in charge of the invasion quickly ordered frigates to fly over and scout the planet for defenses. As quickly as the frigates left the battle for the system began, as the battle advanced the it became clear that the Taligoriis fleet had no chance of winning this battle, as such the commander quickly ordered the retreat of the fleet. When a scattered message from the frigates was received by the commander, it became clear that the planet was heavily defended at that they had no chance of winning the invasion. As such the transports where the first to leave then followed by the combat fleet, despite the hasty retreat it quickly became clear that the losses where horrible.

rGrybx4.jpg

As news from both systems came back to high command, it very quickly became clear that this would be no easy conquest, it would require all the resources of the policy if they even wanted a chance of carrying this war to victory.(-1 BB, -2 BC, - 5 HC, -25 LC, -20 Frigates, -5 transports caugh trying to land. (-5 infantry)

Ai Collective

1)The collective deciding to once again attempt to colonize the system of Kuronolia finally finds success in the endeavour, after they send the right technology and spend a heavy amount of money to do so, it shows result in the end of the year when the colony is fully colonized(kuro colonized)

2)They also send more colonists to the system of Naeresinu, at the end of the year they finally arrive and the colony finishes starting to send resources back to the nation. (Nare colonized)

3)The government decides to continue research into a project called the “Planet Cracker” however at the end of the year the scientists report back with a result that is more than lackluster, having achieved nothing despite being given generous resources much to the dismay of the government.

4)Many new units of AI’s are constructed to be able to provide many new workers for the Collective, however many units turn out faulty and as such they are only able to use a small amount of the units produced and as such only a small increase is shown at the end of the year. (+ low increase in pop growth)

Turn 7-2

he Voogoonam

1). The Federation Tech agreement is accepted easily and much technological knowledge flows into the Serene Republic, primarily from The Ratugan Kingdom (Tech exchange successful)

2. A massive military recruitment and construction campaign is undertaken, hoping to support the Galactic Federation, though at high costs. (+15 CA, +10 BC+10 LC))(+30 inf,+10 mar,+10 HI)(+20 LC, +20 HC,+1 CS, +5 BB next turn)

3. The Voogoonam fleet sends all of it’s heavy ships and many light ships to support their allies in Cyngi.4. Voogoonam scientists work tirelessly to develop new boarding ships to seize enemy vessels, and by the end of the year they have created a working system and are distributing it among their ships. (boarding ship tech finished)

ZfUO4mE.jpg

UCG

1. Continued work on improving their engine tech has produced sucess for UCG’s scientists, allowing their ships to move faster and more efficiently.

2. To help reduce it’s debt problems the UCG has taken to restructuring it’s administration and cutting out unnecessary parts of it’s bureaucracy. This has had moderate success in making the government more efficient and gave more money to the government to help it’s finances. (low admin cost reduction)

3. A massive economic stimulus plan is launched to make up for the gold standard fiasco. While it does help, it will take more than money to fix the over-arcing mistake. (low encon groth increase)

4. Continued attempt to colonize the Rizaren asteroid system are successful and it becomes a profitable source of income for the UCG.(Rizarezen asteroid system colonized)

fJzosvY.jpgArtist’s idea of the UCG asteroid bases

The Invio Confederacy.
1. The Invio confederacy sought to promote internal trade, with a special focus being given to Cylon. This promotion is highly successful, and Cylon becomes a major trading hub of the region. (High trade boost to Cylon)

hdm80Np.jpg

2. Efforts are made to develop more advanced and efficient shields for the confederacy’s navy. A solid plan is developed and scientists think they have a good idea on how to create the required shields, though it will take more time and money. (½ +1 shield)

3. Attempts to develop superior weapon systems are less successful though. Scientists want to test their designs against shielding, but the military refuses to allow them to fire on their ships, resulting in the designs being untested for the year, with many being lost while the scientists spend their time ‘investing heavily into superior state of mind inducing materials’. (nothing achieved)

4. The confederacy also attempts to engage in more Laize Faire policies on Cylon, however few business are interested in coming to the planet, and most local business only report minor upticks in profit. (low econ growth to cylon)

Hrotman

1. Resar is successfully finished in its colonization.

2. The Hroth Establish the Center Itelligency Agnecy over the year to modernize their way of fighting against smart opponents.

3. The Hrothmen also explore the system to the Northeast of Ronegia, where the planet is uninhabited, but it clear used, with many ruins dotting the landscape of plains that cover the planet, signs of an ancient and long gone civilization. The ruins are far beyond anything the Hrothmen are familiar with, and spread across the planet. How the civilization developed so far, and what happened to it is a total mystery.

Ew3ratf.jpg

4. The Hrothmen are also instructed to build factories and commercial centers on the capital. however a typo appears on the order sent to the architects, causing them to believe that they are mento the turn factories into commercial centers. After destroying several factories and begining construction on the proposed commercial centers, they are told that they were not supposed to destroy any factories. Shamed by their failure they commit suicide. While the Hroth have no new factories or commercial centers, and fewer factories than before, luckily the architects were caught before too much trouble could be caused. (low econ growth loss)

Umaja Commontwealth

1. Umaja’s best scientists began work on creating more advanced hull designs, hoping to create more sturdy and resistant ships following the losses in the orbital battle over Anquo. They hope to be finished next year. (½ +1 hull)

2. Umaja also wanted to continue it’s research into deep mining. However it’s best scientists were working on the hull designs, which would have tragic consequences. The latest drill design was being tested for endurance and durability in a High-tech research facility when the lead scientist forgot that there was a basement and sent the drill from the first floor. The drill showed remarkable resisliance as it went straight through the power generator for the facility causing all it’s control to be cut and all research wiped, since they had not backed-up the data. The drill continued going and the scientists lost any means of retrieving it or stopping it, since it was based off an internal power supply. Ashamed at such failure the lead scientists committed suicide. (umaja tech fails and resets)

OxX3MVc.png

3.The ruins of jexecel are searched extensively hoping to find the jumpline technolgy at any cost.n this large seqrch many drones ca elessly destroy many artifacts and blow up anything on their way. In the end they do find what they were looking for, though, need to be deciphere before it can be understood.

4. Fighting on Anquo continues, with casualties mounting for both sides. The Umajan forces advance deeper and deeper into the jungles, hoping to expand the war, and conquer the entire planet. Constant fighting swiftly depletes their numbers, but they continue to advance. Many population centers are reached and after months of brutal fighting they fall one by one. By the end of the year, three-fifths of Anquo’s cities have been seized, but the price is staggering. Nearly 2 million Umajan soldiers have died in the fighting this year alone, putting them in a precarious position, unless reinforcements arrive soon.(-12 Inf, -6 Marines, -1 HI)

Baekdu republic

1)A massive exploration convoy is send once more to Saxeroroos system after the one attempted long ago. In there they find a beutiful planet much more like their own home system, and its so popular than private and uncontrolled colonization start, and accomplish to settled it by the nd of the year without a penny used by the goverment (Saxeroroos colonized, garden world)

V36BXnr.png

2)The team attempting to restart the quantum program once more is lucky enough to find old data from the previous research and get on it much quicker. (½ +1 tech level)

3)The new goverment of the republic head by Kim Yoori makes true its promises, starting by controlling the military of the nation. To this effect investigations are launched , and new guidelines for officers in academies are pushed against the will of the senior command , as they enforce belive in obeying the elective goverment over the military command. These move please many in the nation. (+stability, military reigned for now)

4)in accordance with the Yoori goverment desire for self development a push for a massive promotion of manufactoring and shipbuilding is done in the Myongseong-Dangsan-Magosung Economic zone, regretfully its started late on the year and the effect is not as what was hoped for. (+low econ growth to Dansang econ zone)

Kronesia Empire

1)The Treaty with the Baekdu federal republic and the Adrallan Oligarchy is signed, agreeing to allow the passage of military forces of the republic by the dobxe system in exchange from a payment by the Adrallan, in other times people would have been disgruntled...But in this era of need in the Empire they simply accepted it as free money. (+1 trillion to Kronesia)

2)A initiative to expand and make more factories and companies move to New Liras city fail redundantly during the year even with the enormous amount of money the government was pouring on it, much was lost due to corruption on civil servants handling the operation and much of the cheap land went unused or bought by people that simply did nothing with it affecting the whole operation and reconstruction. A huge damage to the economy would have happened if not for the rotund success of the second government initiative.

3)An enormous and fully modern Spaceport is inaugurated in New Liras, Build with latest technology by the government and even under budget surprisingly. Designed by a new talent of architecture born on new liras and displaced by the war, it quickly became symbol that kronesia would put behind the past. The owner of the spaceport was a trading company created by the government with the goal to increase trade in the home system and the colonies it some moderate scale, it went further more than anyone though, especially when the directors of the new company decided to allow private ownership of 49% of the company to expand its working. The boon was incredible as New liras quickly became the major trading city in the capital planet, surpassing and taking trade from the Capital city of kronesia, meanwhile continued migration to it and coming businessman started a boon in the economic growth that offset the damage but the failed land plot. (Huge trade income increase to home system. moderate econ growth to home system)

M9kqn9e.jpg

4) Event Update

Adrallan Oligarchy

1)The ship construction for the war effort continues during the year, as its clear he who can overwhelm the enemy shall win the war (+20 LC, +70 frigates from queue)(+2 CS, +6 CA, +7 BB, 10 bc)(5bc, 30hc, 25lc next year)

2)The Activities of the new and mysterious agency continue and so it goes on with its enormous budget.

3)The Oligarchy knowing that the way for victory is overwhelming numbers build 5 new shipyards through the year. (+5 shipyards) (-16 trillion)

7Qvyena.jpg

4)The treaty with the baekdu and the kronesian is signed at the beginning of the year to not delay their shipment. (-1 trillion )
Euterian Empire
1)The Euterians confident in their victory over the Adrallans began a mass recruitment of troops and ships for the invasion of further territory of the Oligarchy. (+15 bc + 60hc, +60l from queqe)(+40 HI)(+10CA,+10 BB, +15BC, +80 HC, +60 LC, +100 frigate, + 20 lc +100 frigatws next turn)

2)In a massive project the Empire begins to build 23 new shipyards by the end of the year, this more than depleted the treasury of the Empire and put it in severe debt. rapidly approaching the total value of its nation, many said without loans from outside nations the empire will have a hard time finding money to continue going in debt and pay the interests. (-70 Trillion)

center]

3)The new hulls are ready by the end of the year (+1 hull tech)

4)The empire Begins training on how to quickly send small ships to intercept navies in their systems, but everyone that see it, just think is useless.

Cygni republic

1)In Urarbu the Cygni fleet arrives to before the bees and prepare in case they come this year, which happens. The horde begins to fly into the system and so the fleet engage it, the admiral is astute and fight the giagantic bees with all his abilities , but the bees are many and his fleet isnt, frigates soon are found to be too week to damage the bees and send to try to evacuate important people from the planet as its obvious the fleet wont be able to hold them off as they are too many, the battle with the creature is something of fear as if one latches to a ship, its doom is soon to follow. soon enough the losses are too much and the horde continue to poor in to the system and the retreat order is given, leaving the inhabitands and its defenders on the planet at the mercy of the bees. Almost 2 million men are left to defend the main colony and they try their best but what can a tiny human do against a a bee bigger than ships? they fight with artellery strikes, and tanks and anything they cna get on their hand, but the bee collection begins , capturing people and shipping them off the system, to uknown horrors.(-20 frigates, -7 LC, -5 HC) (-10 infantry, rest resisting in main cities)

2)The Cygni goes into overdrive in an attempt to build as many ships ad they can to fight the bees or so was though by the population, but frankly the arrive of the voogoonam fleet did much more to calm the than the tiny amount of ships ordered by the Goverment.. (+30 frigates, +15 LC, +5 HC, +10 transport)

3)The Tech sharing treaty is signed and a boon for the cygni.

4)The goverment recruit 50 new infantry divisions in order to have troops to defend the main sytem and colonies in case of attaclk. (+50 Infantry)

Xin Li

1)The empire start to rebuild gaspa at a great cost to make it better anfd bigger than before the war came. The cost are inmense but they indeed rebuild most of it, people start to move back as its become better and even some new inmigrats (+100million to gaspa. + stability, gaspa rebuild))

2)The xin li finalize the development of the heavy mechs by the end of the year ( heavy mechs deeveloped)

3) The pavonema colonization is finilize by the end of the year (pavonema colonized)

WAR and EVENTS

The Forever War

The Liberation Of Bizanze

It was early on the year, when the first of many attacks hit the defenseless badgerud. The missiles awaked on eof the local trade station as the alarm sounded. Confusing began rapidly was it the Ollygarchy forces? how it was impossible, but soon enough they found out it was not them. It was a raid by pirates, and they were coming for blood. the station feeble defenses couldnt resist the attack and it was boarded, what followed was horrible, the station was ranscaked for valuables, woman and children taken by the pirates and less 1 hour after the attack had started they left by detonating the station with the rest of the inhabitants inside of it, for resisting at the start.

This was just the opening salvo of the indiscriminate attacks through the year on anything that moved on Badgerud system, especially supplies to the war effort, merchants etc, driving to panic the system as they were effectively being cut off by some phantom raiders which appear out of nowhere and dissapeared out of nowhere quickly and effectively , lucky for them they didnt attacked the planets it self but drove fear on to anything coming thorugh them. Eventually ships from the home system apperead in order to go and reinforce the fleets on Bizanze for the upcoming battle, and smack into the pirates as it was requested they must drive them out . This action stalled the reinforcement coming to Bizanze as they fought the pirates but just couldnt know where they were coming from t the worst time possible as the Ollygarchy attacked the Euterian fleet on bizanze.

On bizanze Possibly the biggest battle to date was happening at the same time as the euterian reinforcement battled raiders. The euterians were low on supplies , especially after continuing the genocide done to the Adrallan inhabitans of the system. Even so they fought bravely the coming adrallan fleet led by the hero of Badgerud recently ascended Admiral Relacey. The counter part was Admiral Pericles the one that had driven the Adrallan out of badgerud on the same battle, the rivalry between this two admirals was to be determined here. The euterian Vice admiral begged the Admiral to retreat as they were low on supplies and morale wasnt all time hight, this just ended with Admiral pericles shooting him for cowardice and getting a new Vice Admiral and so the two Fleets engaged.

The mines deployed by the euterian early were easily predicted and removed or circunvent by the adralland and so the fleets engaged on totall battle, the genious of both admiral could be observed on the battle, or maybe as both were so good it was so deadly. Admiral Pericles had the advantage on the defensive and maybe betther move, but Raceley had more ships available and a keen insight of when to sacrifice something to get something else to work.

Meanwhile this was happening the genocide on the planet continued with the chaos on the battle the Ollygarchy manged to land troops to help the resistance and soon find out they outnumbered the euterians, which were in low supplies, the battle between over 4 million service man and hundreds of thousands of militias ensued, around the planet but low on ammunition and food, the heavier troops of the euterian which needed much more supplies soon ran out of them and surrendered after another month of battle.

After 15 hours of battle in the space Admiral Pericles commited a mistake that was taken advantage by the Ollygarchy, driving the left wing of the Euterian fleet into an asteroid field and scaterring them (and hunted down later as they failed to retreat as well as the other two parts of the fleet), which spell the end of the battle. The euterians called retreat, even with best effort of admiral ralecey it was on order and wasnt anihilated as what the Adrallan hoped for.Back In Ollygarchy territory suspicions were high of infiltration and a massive intelligence sweep uncovered Euterians and collaborators, high up in the military ranking, even though the euterians refused to talk no matter what was done to them, many of the Adrallan collaborators talked what they knew and a the Euterian infiltration suffered a great blow, though many suspected there were still infiltrators, at least for this year the military was safe.Euteria: (-3 marines , -7 HI)(1 marine 7 HI prisioners)(-1 CS, -3 CA,-7BB,-15BC,-25HC,-50 LC,-100 frigates) Adrallan: (-2 HI, -3 Marines )(-2 cs,-2 CA,-5BB,-15 BC,-20 HC, - 35 LC, -60 Frigates)

The Emperor's Fury

News of this new place of moral decay and corruption which had killed so many of his citizens reached ears of the Emperor and soon after the Emperor declared he would cleanse personally the den of corruption and decay that it was. And so the fleets of the empire were called and gathered in Sozarus. Once done so His Imperial Majesty Tercian V assumed command with Admiral Lorea Duras as advisor. back in Kronesia High Lord Pulat Quras was named regnet for the time being.

The magnanimous fleet of the Empire soon entered rofar and had no trouble as only a small segment of it arrived first demanded surrender in the name of the empire and for them to put their live on the benevolents had of the emperor.

They were laughed by the multidus of criminals and scum and shooted at, soon after the Entire Kronesia fleet arrived and the laugh ended for justice had finally come for them. xxxxSoon the chants of battle of hundreds of ships light up and the war started.

The Enemies were a disaorganized bunch fractured in countless factions and groups and not all brave or willing to fight for some asteroids as many fleet. But they were many and event with many fleeing the mob was trouble. And so the battle started the enemy attacks was svagae, barbaric and uncoordinated compared to the military precision with whom the Kronesia fleet fought under the watching eye of the emperor, even so casualties mounted, and the unpredictability of the enemy battle doctrine (or lack of) made it hard to battle, some even dared to advise maybe they should just let them be, The emperor was resolute, he would bring every single one of the to justice and thats was it. And so that was it, the battle devolved into hunting down the many factions soon enough and their uncountable settlements at the large of the enormous asteroid field of what once was planets, and moons.

Causalities continued to increase as ships were much easier targets for taking in small groups and many ran into fortified camps, armed satellites and two space foreyress even though old and in desrepair needed a big fight to destroy but the emperor didnt relented and so it continued. by ¾ of the year communities and small establishment were begging for piety and surrendering or escaping if they could the system.

The emperor judged them and sumarries excution of anyone found guilty of the massacre of last year was done thousands were killed, but many more were left prisoners, woman's of pirates and scum, their progeny counted in the millions. by the end around 10 million prisioner were gathered and their fate to be decided by the emperor. The causalities had been high, but they were worth it for the Fury of the emperor was only satiable with the blood of his enemies. (-40 frigates, -30LC, -25 HC, -13BC, -7BB, -3 CA)(10 million prisoners to decide fate upon.)

The Republic of Cygni

Citizens of the Republic of Cygni. Recently, a group of explorers, backed up by five of our frigates, have made an amazing discovery on the system of Brennemaus; life. What is remarkable is that these are gargantuan bees that are able to live in space, create hives, and make honey. While taking samples of honey, tragedy struck. The bees, angered that someone is taking their honey, attacked the frigates. Only one frigate came back from the attack, and now the bees are coming to our colonies.

We will mourn the brave souls who knew the risks of exploring the unknown. In our history, many tragic incidents related to exploration have happened. We must not let their deaths make us deaf to the danger that approaches us, however. There are no negotiations that are possible with the bees. The only option is to fight for the lives that were lost and our security.

As expected, the other members of the Federation are responding to this threat and promise to back us up. In the interest of the Federation as well as the situation with the recent discovery of the space bees, the Republic of Cygni will sign The Federation Tech Agreement. This will allow each member of the Federation to be as strong as the other in dire times such as now and will possibly give us an edge over the bees.

The Federation Tech Agreement
[X] Peter Volkov, President of the Republic of Cygni

To the brave men and women who will be fighting, all I can say is may fortune be upon your side.

- Peter Volkov, President of the Republic of Cygni

Statement issued to the system of Urarbi:

Warning. SXP Level 1 is in place for this system. All ships travelling through this system are required to report to the nearest border patrol station ASAP for a check. Evacuation warnings may be issued. Stay alert and keep radio on Station 9 for emergency information.
