It's another beautiful morning here in Liverpool. The sun is coming up and although the world is a little chaotic at least we all can enjoy the peace of everyday life. The year is 2018 but this is only the calm before the storm.

Rules: Warning this game will be rated M for mature due to the following- violence, blood and gore, moderate language, drug and alcohol references. Inappropriate language is to be expected but not overdone, also your romantic lifestyle if at all any should be PG:13. Thank you.

Character creation: Skills and traits will be assigned to each character, you can have up to three characters, If you chose to have a character in the military your limit to that is one but you may have two additional civilian characters. The apocalypse hasn't happen yet so the first turn will just be like a normal day, the collapse of society will start off like a snowball rolling down a hill until it turns into a full blown avalanche. Keep in mind your characters might not end up being friends ,they may join different groups of survivors and at some point have to fight to the death...

Russia:

Russia has continued to grow its stockpile of weapons to that greater than what they had during the cold war. Following the Annex of East Ukraine many believed tensions would settle down, unfortunately they have not. Within the last couple of months Belarus voted unanimously to be annexed as well and Russia is currently in the process of absorbing the country into itself. Despite sanctions that are still against it in full force by the U.S. and the EU the Ruble hasn't fell since 2015. Vladimir Putin continues trade with the China, many fear that Russia is ready to abuse its economical and military success.
The United Kingdom:

The UK voted to stay in the EU, however UKIP is demanding a second referendum because the vote was 48% to 52%. This is seen as unlikely since the Labour party is in power and has a coalition with the Scottish National Party, The Green Party and Sinn Fein. Jeremy Corbyn is Prime Minister.

The United States:

After a tough primary in 2016, Donald Trump and Hilary Clinton fought for the white house. The victor was Donald trump, although he has helped turn the US into an economic powerhouse he threatens China and Russia repeatedly with harsher sanctions, many feel he is suturing the pot too much. The U.S. has ground forces in what the media has dubbed "Iraq War 3" rather than it's name of "Operation Protecting Freedom".

The Middle East:

Saudi Arabia used ground forces to restore the Hadi government, however they are still fighting a war against the insurgency, simply due to the damaged caused by the air campaign. Syria collapsed and is now a failed state with many groups fighting each other. Assad abdicated and fled to Russia, while a military government controls what's left of the government while ISIS and the FSA continue fighting. ISIS does not control any land in Iraq, as the United States kicked them out. The U.S. has avoided invading Syria as to avoid an international incident. The U.S. intervened when it was clear that Baghdad was going to get assaulted. ISIS still carries out suicide bombings and terrorist attacks within Iraq, stronger than what Al-Qaeda ever did.

(I would have to say that Firearms laws in the United Kingdom are very strict (the Police aren't normally armed) so the gun shop wouldn't really work, so I recommend you shift it to a different direction (like underground weapons dealer or something like that)

It's a simple job really, it allows him to have a nice house and easy support his Wife and Teenage Daughter. Still, he couldn't help but want more with his life. Job: Mechanic's Assistant, former fighter in the Free Syrian Army

Bio: Born in Damascus, Ihsan had dreams of traveling the world from a young age. Ihsan spent much of his early years fixing cars with his father; he and his father were some of the best mechanics in the neighbourhood. When the Syrian Civil War broke out, Ihsan's father took up arms with the Free Syrian Army; he was killed in 2015. Ihsan took up his father's arms, fighting (albeit very poorly) with the Free Syrian Army for a year until his family was able to escape into Turkey. From there, Ihsan and his family arrived in Liverpool. Ever since, Ihsan has been working on and off in various mechanic's shops, trying to forget the horrors of war.

Bio: Born and raised in Liverpool, Bethany always loved books. From the moment she first learned to read, Bethany was hooked; she gained her enjoyment of life not from sports or socialising, but from the stories hidden between the worn pages of a good book. Her love of books was matched only by her love of nature; she would often visit her grandparents' hillside home in Corwen, always exploring well off the beaten path. When she was old enough to go off to university, she moved south to Cardiff to study English literature. While she enjoyed her studies, she couldn't help but wish for an adventure like in her books.

Bio: A native Welsh speaker from Swansea, for decades Gwyn made his name teaching advanced chemistry at the Prifysgol Caerdydd Cardiff University. Even then, Gwyn was known to be... odd; the university staff quickly became aware of his obsessive belief in the occult. Throughout his long career, Gwyn would split his classes between the advanced study of chemistry and his own bizarre beliefs in the supernatural. Eventually, Gwyn "retired" from the university; in actuality, he had been forced out. Fortunately, Gwyn's true passion was not in chemistry, but in ice cream making; he spent almost all of his savings towards an ice cream shop in Liverpool. Now he spends his days in the shop, serving his customers equal servings of ice cream and the occult.

Bio: William grew up in Liverpool and has been a member of the voluntary fire brigade since his teenage years. At age 18 his parents moved to somewhere in south america to start a new life and left him a roomy mansion, which he hasn't been taking good care of, so it is in dire need of repairs. His only family member in town is his uncle who owns a gun shop. They are good friends with one major difference in opinions: William as a pacifist refuses to own or bear any arms, and his uncle keeps making anecdotes about how William will change his mind once he decides to grow up.
William is freshly divorced and has a two year old daughter, Alex, who he takes care of every other week. He started taking Adderall recently to stay focused at work despite the harsh breakup.

He was became the first directly elected Mayor in 2012 and was reelected in 2016.

Bio: Richard was originally from London, where he got a degree in Broadcasting and was hired by the BBC. He currently serves as the bureau chief in Liverpool, managing the Day to Day operations, and is in charge of sending out reporters to get stories. It's a simple job really, it allows him to have a nice house and easy support his Wife and Teenage Daughter. Still, he couldn't help but want more with his life. Little did he know, that the biggest scoop of his life was going to find him, before he found it.

Bio: Born in a working class area of a Liverpool, James had to fight for everything. His father an alcoholic and his mother a chain smoker he was left to his own devices.

He coasted through primary school, and was accepted into the grammar school nearby, there he became a keen rugby player, being scouted by saints and being suggested as a future professional.

However James gave it up when he was accepted into Cambridge at the age of 19, after taking a gap year to travel the world.

Now at age 22, he has to return to Liverpool for family issues that must be resolved, putting his studies on hold.

Bio: Jonathan was the son of Alfred Edgeworth, a relatively successful attorney, and Margaret Maddox,a Welsh tailor who moved to Liverpool. Jonathan was a distinguished student and earned many awards, though he preferred to stay out of the limelight. He was accepted into the University of Cambridge and graduated at the age of 25. Jonathan is focused on finding the truth above all else, even at the expense of his own clients.

Bio: Joe was the son of an aspiring actor, John Lewis and a secretary. Joe's father, John invested most of his hard earned money into the real estate business. With the financial crisis of 2008, John lost most of his money and committed suicide after the miscarriage of his daughter and death of the girls mother from complications from childbirth. Orphaned and struggling to pay the mortgage on the house, Joe went to the streets and became accustomed to the hardships of life there. Joe spends most of his time scavenging for items and food. Joe spends what little money he has on heroin and alcohol, both of which he has an addiction on.

Name: Bradley James Lewis

Age: 28

Job: Captain and Officer Commanding of the 156 Regiment 'Royal Logistics', 235th Squadron stationed in Liverpool.

Bio: Having been born in Liverpool but was raised abroad by his father who was an officer in the Royal Navy after his mother died due to an illness she caught shortly after giving birth, it seemed natural for him to join the military as well. He ended up serving in Afghanistan and was promoted from 2nd Lieutenant to Lieutenant before being shipped home with no discernible psychological distress. However, a lack of enthusiasm led to him dropping out of the Regular Army as soon as his contract was up, but, he did remain in the British Army as a Regular Reserve and was promoted to the Officer Commanding of the 235th Logistics Squadron and given the rank of Captain in 2017.
