Name: Mage-Lord Wizard Galar Sadrithelan of Baan Sar
Race: Human
Location: Baan Sar, Bethlehem
Assets: Mage’s Tower, rules the city of Baan Sar, owns Bethlehem’s largest Slugtoad and Skylamp farms

The son of a great Skylamp farmer and engineer, Galar overtook his father’s company when he was only 116, and has since rose to become the mage-lord of his home city, Baan Sar. Skylamps and Slugtoads are bred for use as airships and airship motors, respectively. With his monopoly on airship construction in Bethlehem, Galar has great influence on the politics of Bethlehem, as he basically owns its air force.

Apart from its airship industry, Baan Sar is also known for the great wizard tower at the center of the city: Blackroot tower, Galar's residence. Although it looks just like any official building, it is in fact literally a living organism - not because of it's bustling, underground marketplace, but because of it containing the bones of all wizards and sorcerors to have died while staying in the city. Because of these souls contained within, Blackroot is a place of immense ancient power and knowledge. However, in these modern times, Galar knows that he has to look forward.

Icilius had been brought up as any other noble Rovarian, in strict military manner, and by the age of 13 he knew more than the common man would know in his life time.
Ascending the throne at the age of 14, Icilius began to make renovations as a first step to restoring the Empire's lost glory.
Spending most of his school life from 14 to 18 in the Imperial Academy's finest classrooms and military officer classes, Icilius recieved the best possible education for the modern age.
An expert fencer and a charismatic leader with the mind of a genius, can he reclaim what glory once was?

Official Statement from the Exalted Principality of Althine
4cd4510a1f368ed321d084447708323b-d8en00v.png

His Most Holy Magnificence is shocked and appalled that He would be accused of ordering a failed assassination of Mage supporting heathens in another nation. Had His Most Holy Magnificence ordered an assassination of someone in the world, then they would be dead, for such is the competence and skill of Althine's proud Numiar Intelligence, Manipulation, Reconnaissance, and Oversight Division. Those captured fools in Vaedor are clearly imposters meant to tarnish the respected institutions of the Exalted Principality of Althine.

- Telinar Vilkar Guime on behalf of His Most Holy Magnificence Carthorn Numiar I, Exalted Prince of Althine, Duke of Numiaria, Lorina, Fimagia, Rulenchia, Javieo, and Kenick, Margrave of Yerithen and Bensen, Count of Limbourg, Wileneress, Qimbesa, Parvium, and Formidus, Lord of Numiar City, Carthornia, Haraldsberg, Rumland, Harriston, Wessex, Norhport, Malina, Lalinei, and Enington, Protector of the Bargavian Reach, Lord of the High Seas, Guardian of the Holy Groves of Helir, Wielder of Ibsen and Chonoses, Defender of All Helirism, Helir's Chosen, Ruler of the Skies, and Regent of Helir's Mortal Realm

Magnificent Altihnian News of Truth (MANT) National Broadcast

Breaking news, the Director of the Office of Strategic Services, Jonathon Thorpe, was found dead in his office today, as a result of suicide. This is believed to be in response to discovery of his attempted sexual advances on Princess Veronica Numiar, which was a shocking scandal, one sure to bring righteous suffering upon the offensive Director. We pray that Helir is tormenting his soul as he deserves. Suicide will not allow enemies of the Numiars to escape their fate.

On the sports front, the Haraldsberg Sentinels beat the Harriston Avengers 47 to 34 yesterday...

Althine Attacked!!!

pBCHg53.jpg

Sinking of the Althine Frigate

After several althine merchant ships sunk in the territorial waters of Althine planes and ships were dispatched to the areas to investigate. The mystery is over after an althine frigate mysteriously erupted on fire after an explosion and sank, killing hundreds of sailors it was discovered mines were in the area with stealth technology. a two days later with the Althine marine informed of the danger a group of merchants ships from the league of Sicaria were found under suspicions conditions.

When approached by the small task force of althine they opened fire upon the task force. In the small battle several ships of althine were damaged and one of the merchants ships almost sunk but none was to happen as the merchant ships managed to escape the althine fleet. With most of the air force in Gallia they couldn't not be followed even though is believed they escaped to league of Sicaria Territory.

Our holy nation have been dastardly attacked by the heathens of Sicaria, it's our most profound believe it was done in a misguided retaliation for the attack upon the heathens of Vaedor. We all know our prince clearly expressed, the principality is not involved, yet they attack us.. We pray to Helir to take all the fallen men into his heavenly lands and for our prince to soon end the Heathens with his righteous hand.

This has been Tammy from GNN-Althine deivision, may Helir bless your day

After much debate between out cities, we have decided to offer you a counter offer. We had absolutely had no involvement in this tragic incident but we still feel bad. We will pay you two times the price of a comparable Sicarian League ship to the one you lost. We also offer our formal condolences to the families of all the brave Althines who died in this tragic incident. We also offer to send ships to assist you to locate these mines. Please accept our counter offer.

The counter proposal by the Sicarian League is nothing less than an insult to Helir himself. They refuse to take responsibility for their actions, and wish to pay a mere 120 million credits for destroying a RAN vessel, and damaging several more, ending hundreds of lives, and infringing on Our sovereign waters. Further They want to send more ships into our waters, as if We want more contamination of Our territory by heathens. Our ultimatum is not open for negotiation, and these insulting attempts at it are unacceptable.

Accept Our ultimatum or face the Wrath of Helir.

In response to Althine's refusal of our most generous offer, we beg that they withdraw their ultimatum and join us in talks that can be constructive and benefit everyone.

Once again we remind the Sicarian League that our ultimatum is not open to negotiation, and it shall not be withdraw. If this point must be reiterated once again, we will consider the ultimatum rejected and commence the use of nuclear weapons against the Sicarian League.

We would absolutely love to accept your ultimatum but sadly we did not do it. So we can't actually do so. So ya. Please don't kill us.

Due to the Sicarian League's rejection of our generous ultimatum, We are left with no choice but to bring divine retribution upon them by way of nuclear weapons. The heathens will be sent on the express route to Hell by the avenue of Holy Fire. An example will be made of one of their cities to show them the severity of the situation.

The Camp of Melzar
MAC27_REFUGEE_CAMP_CAROUSEL01.jpg

A section of the camp under development

On the smallest and furthest Northwest of the Mermen island lies a large refugee camp. It covers the entire island, and is open to survivors and refugees from distant lands. It is well policed, well ordered and well run, not a center of crime and confusion. It works like this: each inmate with a family is given a small piece of land, self sustaining, and have to work to get food. Sick and injured are provided food. With non family areas, people must work together, though gaurds frequently check to ensure everyone is being treated fairly. This is a humanitarian recovering camp, not a prison. There are recreational activities, libraries, and things to help people get used to living there. It also has a big hospital with skilled doctors, run by the Blue Cross, which houses many patients. People of all backgrounds, cultures, races and nations are welcome here. People are treated with respect. Those who break the law are punished, but not harshly.

The Blue Cross
blue_cross_white_blue.png

Logo of the Blue Cross

A large group founded in the GROTS, this group helps out other people in need. They go around the world, doing good works, healing the sick, sheltering the homeless, counselling the depressed. Very wealthy from donors and government funding, they have large hospitals spread throughout the globe, and their workers are skilled humanitarians and healers. A large school, the largest medical school in the world, with the most advanced medicine, is found in the GROTS, with two separate schools: one for doctors, nurses, proffesors and the like, and another school for healer mages and the development of magitech tools that are useful in healing. It produces many medical workers who go to lands far and beyond to help those in need. However this is not without risks, as they know, as they are liekley to be persecuted and die, but nonetheless they go to help. Many never return, but they continue on in their good work.

Political situation of the Federation, post-elections, 2100
With the election season in the democratic member entities complete, as well as the passings of Councillors Abdul Herat, 89, Malik al-Sadawi, 93, and Firouk Shiraz, 70, the council has been thoroughly shuffled, along with the rise of two new factions, representing the extreme ends of both the Mohadithi and Distihadi.

al-Shiyuna, the Communists
SUVNtvQ.png
Flag of the proposed People's Federative Republic of the Bacxari (PFRB)

With rising debts and a growing gap between rich and poor, many lower-class Bacxari and extreme members of the left wing have felt increasing marginalized by jingoistic, dominant political group, the Distihadi, while also believing the Mohadithi are too moderate. These elements have rallied behind the charismatic, newly elected Councillor, Hamid al-Jadiyah, to become the leader of the al-Shiyuna Party, the Communists. Along with al-Jadiyah, 2 other seats have been taken by the newly formed party. Their ultimate goal is to centralize the Federation under a democratic communist government, abolishing the tribal divisions, and creating provinces. Depending on social and economic position of the Federation, we could see the Shiyunas gain or lose influence.

al-Shirazi, the Monarchists
yzw84VX.png
The flag of the proposed Bacxari Sultanate. The script clutched in the Eagle's talons reads, "May the Gods save the Sultan", the large text above the sword reads "Sultan Ilyas"

There was always a major sentiment for a single, strong leader to rise up and raise the Bacxari to greatness. This (decidedly) strong leader manifested when Councillor Firouk Shiraz died, and his seat was inherited by his grandson, Ilyas. The 27-year-old Ilyas, handsome, strong, and intelligent, and possessing the aristocratic background of the Shiraz family, seems to be the perfect candidate for these people. With that, the fascists, nationalists, and monarchists have formed the Shirazis, alternatively referred to as the monarchists. The Shirazis, like the communists, believe in the idea of centralization and the creation of provinces, under a "benevolent autocracy", headed by Sultan Ilyas. Along with the prospective Sultan's seat, 6 other supporters have been elected in. Just like the Communists, they will be affected by the changing social and political climate of the Federation.
a.jpg

Ilyas Shiraz, shockingly attractive, scoring top of his class at Tarqhamsa University, skilled Buzkashi player, 2nd Lieutenant in the Federation Army and now a Councillor all backed by a noble pedigree, he is the perfect template for a strong Sultan.

Commonwealth of Notasia

1)Tax reforms are carried out by the commonwealth, however the new system is confusing and it doesn't really bring more income at all, being just a waste of money for the state.

2)With help of the government cattle ranching is expanded in the frontier areas of the nation becoming a profitable exportation product to other nation and bringing a nice extra money to the commonwealth.

3) With tension rising everywhere and nationalism outburst of Notasia the armed forces in their whole are expanded greatly. (13 infantry, 5 armored divisions, 10 fighter-bombers, 30 screen ships, 2 submarines and 1 aircraft carrier as well as 22 ICBMs and 17 nukes)

The Corporation

1)The great interdistrict skyway begins its constriction in the corporation, a marvel of modern transportation system and engineering. Already generating increase of income as its build. (⅓ Intercity highway, minor income boost)}

2)Investment from the corporation into the commonwealth of criss goes along well enough as they attempt to show the good of the corporation and its rule..however many are that interested as they are already very wealthy and what guarantees they shall be so inside another nation after all.

The Empire of Majeed

1)Mining continues to be the engine of economic expansion in the land of the Majeed as more and more mines open up (medium econ boos)

The United States of Tamagahara
1) With the aggressive althine in the north the development of the ki based anti missile system continue on track (2/3 missile defense system)

2)In the westerns cities factories are converted to produce war material as well as new industries pop pout financed by the state to keep the burden at a high cost. (medium econ growth)

(project Plasmoid completed)

2)Regulations are removed on the business in the swarm, basically everything short of euphoric drugs gets deregulated, business immediately pick ups as the swarm becomes a fiscal, and no regulatory paradise for companies.(high gdp growth)
3)Attempts to reduce expenses by the state, however doesn't goes anywhere as surveys shows people are not willing to pay anything for the government services, nor happy with the attempt to end the social network or reduce it, at least for now all is calm.

Polis

1)Program Zeus is started in the polis, the program itself is controversial. Injecting CCM directly into the brain of subject to observe what happens and the changes. The program posses no real objective at first, but its discovered that by doing so the subjects that don die rapidly assimilate the CCM in their brains and begin developing magical abilities beyond what they could posses...this could be the breakthrough the magic community have been long waiting for. What uses will polis give to this invention is unknown (only polis know the effects they can choose to share it or not, no one can use this idea if they dont disclose it.)

2)Researchers in the Polis finally achieve a breakthrough in the matter decomposition machine as they pass the first barriers, for it. It shall be a long journey yet if completed, it can become one of the greatest inventions of mankind (1/3 Matter decomposition machine)

3)A new magitek suit enters development in the polis and show amazing progress the hoped for 1500 lbs max weight lifting still avoid its designers, but sure it shall be useful for industrial constructors, miner and maybe other less polite uses around the world once completed (1/2)

Old King Teker

Atop the acropolis in Valencia, known as the old quarter, the palace sat. It was an elegant mismatch of Apakite, Ohevian, and Bapsiten architectures. The mound was once home to an Ohev temple of some import before it was repurposed and added onto by the Baptistens, to make a castle. When the Apakites invaded and took over Valencia they updated the fortress, and dug into the rock to make more storage rooms for supplies. After the war of unification the victorious house Razquin added on a considerable amount and refurbished the fortress into being part palace so they could rule in comfort. Every house that has held the kingship has modified or refurbished this building.

In the very center of this complex was an open room, with monolithic columns leading to arches that held up the ceiling. At the far end was a throne where kings of old listened to petitions and pleas from their subjects. It is only used for more formal scenarios now. Today was less formal and instead the meeting was upstairs in an office, a large one but an office nonetheless. It had all the modern fixings, gypsum board walls, air conditioning, hardwood flooring, a large desk with a compute on one side. At this desk sat an old man who was king of all Veodor.

“Your Majesty.” Hayden said at the doorway, looking towards the old man, before bowing as a show of respect. “It seems that the kingdom is beset by troubles, and troubles rarely come alone, has your health at the very least improved?” He asked curiously.

“Who are you and why haven’t you been shot for barging in on your betters?” The king asked coldly as he continued to rifle through the documents on his desk.

Hayden chuckled and smiled as he went forward. “I'm afraid that if your guards shot me, it would create such a scandal that even the mightiest houses in this kingdom wouldn't be left standing by the end.” He said before extending his hand. “Hayden Severt, your Majesty.”

“Tell me Mr. Severt if your secretary let someone barge in unannounced and uninvited into your office whilst you were working how would you treat that?” He kept looking over his papers obviously more interested in them than the upstart peasant.

“Perhaps you should blame the secretary, but if it was your Majesty, Prince Rodrigo, his brother, or Prince Caba, then I would probably look up and smile if for nothing else than to have them gone is as quick a time as possible.” He said as looked at the old king working.

King Teker sighed wearily and put the document down. Looking sternly into the man he asked “What do you want?”

“I was hoping to discuss the recent events.” He looked at him, his smile kept but a sincerity in his eyes. “What has happened is most unfortunate, and it might not be the first attack upon Prince Rodrigo and Carlos, which is why I am here to discuss Prince Caba. He is, how to put it, too radical.”

“Then I suggest you spend your time keeping the other two safe.” Teker replied flatly. “Warlord Caba is an idiot and I would rather have that bastard Rodrigo in charge, yet that doesn’t mean I like it.”

“I was hoping there was a way that you could put a leash on Caba, to stop his radical movements. I am not sure who was behind the attack on Rodrigo, or if a party within this kingdom supported it. But what is clear is that Caba would undo centuries of progress.” Hayden replied in an equally flat tone.

The old king looked at Haydan. “And what do you think getting the Great Imam to publically denounce him was? Or when I stripped him of a vast majority of his titles? Tell me oh wise lobbyist how should I run my country?”

“I have people to do my lobbyism, largely to avoid being spoken down to such as you seem to enjoy.” He chuckled. “Pick another heir, raise someone else than Caba to high office, and end the man's career instead of trying to play behind the curtains.”

“What do you think my will states? He isn’t going to become head of the al Nasir in my passing. The laws of succession are clear; my attempts earlier on to change the current system where stopped too.” The king pulled out a handkerchief and coughed into it, flecks of blood showing on the stained white cloth.

“Excuse me, but if you don’t mind me asking, why is it in the will, and not public knowledge?” Hayden said as he looked at the handkerchief, before back at the king.

The stern eyed king leaned back in his chair slightly. “If he thinks he has something to lose by misbehaving, such as the power of house al Nasir, he will be less likely to overstep his bounds. A man of ambition with nothing left to lose tends to cause more trouble than an obnoxious fool in charge of an insignificant county.”

Hayden nodded. “Not bad.” He said before studying the king. “He will be like a dying animal.” He said with a smile before it slightly faded. “But isn't that when all the poets tell us to be the most worried?” He said before standing up and extending his hand. “I wish you a speedy recovery, I doubt the kingdom is ready for what follows after you quite as of yet.”

Reluctantly the king shook hands with Haydan. His, Teker’s, grip was weak and shaky despite the efforts to make it as a strong and forceful as it was only years ago. “Who knows maybe that explosion knocked some sense into Rodrigo and he’ll be less apt to change the status quo.” After which the king went back to his papers still wondering who he would need to fire for letting a plebian trounce into his office mid day.

Important People of the World 2100-Winter

Sara ben Ishak

1)Sara sells her patent of a magic amplificator for healing to Advanced Solutions. The company pays a great deal of money for the patent which itself will make them a very string market into medicine. From her winnings Sara have obtained close to some 300 Millions for her patent.

2)In the cold winter she takes refuge on her laboratory day and night working in something even greater this time. The possibility of removing partially or completed toxins and maybe even damages from horrible environmental conditions like in the Corporation. Her first phase is completed but the cost are quite high, this type of technology could be very helpful to disaster stricken areas by contamination, maybe funding will be required once more to achieve it however it could make her rich beyond her dreams if some nation get interested on it. (-200 Million, ⅓ phases completed).

The Keepers

1)With their new base the keepers occupy much of their time establishing contacts with local nobility and obtaining donations for their cause, becoming a quite popular thing to do (+50 Million per season)

2)After some working and negotiation the keepers manage to obtain the selling of Second Skin to them and contact with some people in the polis (-100 Million)

Hayden Severt
1)By the end of the season Severt pharmaceutical finish without trouble all teste upon the new drug, including test on human. For what they plan to use it is a mystery but it is completed. (-300 Million)

2)The Severt conglomerate goes in a shopping spree of beverage companies, bootle making companies and related companies at the beginning many sell well but after other start noticing what they are doing, buying and selling become much harder as owners demanded more money than willing to pay in the end, and with great plans in mind many had to be bought above what they should have but no matter. (-3 Billion to buy 2.3 billion of companies worth)

A Bad Day

Rodrigo Razquin, head of House Razquin and heir to Veodor, dusted his left shoulder. He was on his way to another event in the hopes of gaining support for the latest bill to be proposed by the Parliament. His pocket vibrated and he pulled out his phone to see a text from his younger brother Carlos who too was on his way to an event.

How are you?
Good ready for your meet and greet?
As ready as I will ever be for that den of thieves and miscreants. What about you? After all there are many rivals in Akra
And plenty of mutual enemies seeking and unexpected ally :)
HA well… good luck at your swaray.
Same to you. watch out for Netali you know how touchy she gets after a few drinks though youd probably like that.
Youre terrible XD
Atleast I do not like to be on the receiving end of sodomy.
Oh so you like that all of a sudden?
No but your girlfriend enjoyed it.

This brotherly banter was rare amongst the two. Both had to watch what they said at all times and walked on eggshells. True putting such causal messages on their phones wasn’t any better but something about typing out minuté quips caused them to forget. As Rodrigo waited for his brother to respond he noticed the car stop suddenly. Jostled he asked “What is the matter?”

“Get down sir!” the bodyguard in the passenger seat exclaimed as he pulled out a handgun and left the car to investigate. A black windowless van had pulled out in front of them and stopped abruptly. The Vehicle that just ahead of them had smashed into it. People piled out of the van and unloaded into the dazed guards of the for vehicle. In the rear another van pulled up and its passengers were quickly engaged by the rear guard.

The next few minutes are a blur for Rodrigo. He remembers be told to get out and stay low as a new volley of bullets pilfered the left side of the limo. He heard the sirens echoing loudly over the gunfire, and the helicopter crash. The RPG that blew up the limo behind him during the escape left him dazed still. Scanning the scene Rodrigo was trying to process the firefight that was going on.

Rodrigo assumed they were winning. He also saw all the terrified and injured civilians around the area. This was sloppy, he had read up on coups and even staged a few assassinations and this was too sloppy, too out in the open, to be Veodic work. He heard a thump nearby and saw a grenade. It landed near a mother and her crying little girl.

The woman wasn’t anything special. An Apakite by the looks of her, and dressed in a modest turtleneck sweater and jeans. Her daughter couldn’t be any more than four years old, a little pigtailed kid clutching desperately to her mother. For some reason Rodrigo forwent all his sense of self preservation and lunged. His steps weren’t very coordinated, he wasn’t even sure what he was planning to do, if planning at all.

As he felt himself pushing the family down he felt something else. Grenades always explode in one manner, up and out. A mother and daughter prone on the ground was relatively safe; a man still at crouched height was less so. Despite the adrenaline coursing through his veins a searing pain etched across Rodrigo. He fell down and laid there, his body involuntarily twitching from the shock, as he laid in a growing pool of his own blood.

Eureka!

Sara ben Ishak paced quickly around her apartment, unable to focus on any one thing for more than a moment, her thoughts constantly returning to her patent. A few months ago she had moved into the ground floor of an apartment building in one of the lower-middle class neighborhoods of Valencia. She wore simple a simple outfit of a white linen t-shirt and pants, and her fiery red hair was tied back behind her head. She peered anxiously at her cheap watch and checked the peephole on her door several times, waiting for Hayden Severt to arrive so she could share her news with someone. She needed more friends in Valencia, she realized.

A knock was eventually heard on the door to her apartment, as he stood outside and waited. He wore a pair of jeans, as with a white dress shirt and a grey sweater above it, to cover him from the growing winds outside.

Sara dashed to the door and opened it quickly, grinning when she say Hayden standing there. “Come in, come in.” Her apartment wasn’t particularly large, or well decorated, and they now stood an average-sized living room. To the right was a kitchen, separated by half wall with built in shelves lined with books. To the left was a hallway with three closed doors. “Welcome,” she said, visibly excited. “Can I get you anything?”

He entered the apartment and looked around, letting his eyes skim over the living room and towards the hallway, smiling, almost laughing as he saw her excitement. “Whatever you have is fine.”

“Sure,” she went over to the kitchen and pulled two bottles of water from the fridge, throwing one over the wall to him. “Aren’t you going to ask why I wanted you to come over?”

“If you insist.” He said as he went over to the couch and sat down. “So, why did you invite me over to this lovely little apartment?” He asked as he looked towards her in the kitchen.

“Because I finished it!” She beamed. “I finished it, and it works! It’s not quite what I had in mind when I started out, but now that it’s finished I know it’s going to be huge. The magical lattice was the easy part, developing the mathematics, it all derives from theories that were already out there, but…” she began to ramble on about the scientific and mathematical details of magic involved, leaning across the wall. She looked in Hayden’s direction, but seemed to lose focus somewhat as she got deeper into her explanation.

“Congratulations!” He said as he stood up and walked over to the door opening to kitchen, leaning up against the wall as he began to chuckle, motioning with his hand for her to take a break. “All of that is great, but, I have no idea what you just said.” He said as his chuckle turned into a laughter.

“That’s ok, the point is that it works and that it’s great, and I had to tell someone.” She laughed. “Now I just need to decide what to do with it, that’s the easy part, right?”

“If only, now comes the fun part involving capital, where people get very touchy.” He said in cheer. “What are your options?” He asked curiously.

“Well,” she said, resting her chin in her hand, “I could sell the patent, easy money to fund my next project, but then who knows what will happen to it. I could take the money I have from investors already and look to build a business around it, though I didn’t exactly go to business school. Or I could try to leverage it into a job offer somewhere, only then I’d have less control over what I want to research and how I want to go about it.” Her lips curved into a slight frown and she sipped her water. “It’s a tough choice.”

He nodded as she spoke, listening to her ideas. “Yes, I heard a rumour that you managed to gather investors, apparently being very persuasive, do I dare ask?” He said in jest. “But as for ideas, if you want to start a business, a proper one to reach out, you will need more money.” He stood and thought for some time. “500 million should be able to do it. Selling it wouldn't be bad if you more research you want to carry out, but then you will lose control of this invention, which you may later regret. I would however advise against working for someone else.” He looked at her with a smile. “Would be a waste of talent.”

She laughed again. “That was largely the same thought I had had. We’ll see I suppose, I’m to happy to give the options any sober thought right now.” She turned to him. “What about you? What have you been up to?”

“Not much, we have made some progress on the caffeine drug. But other than that I have done fairly little, my income increased with a few hundred million if that counts.” He said as he chuckled and shook his head. “For once the politicians helped me. But other than that, well I visited Louiza and Isabella last weekend.”

"Helped by the very people you hate, how that must have hurt your pride," Sara joked, standing up and heading into the living room to sit on the couch. "How are the ladies Cortez?"

“It hurts deeply, into the soul, now I have to pretend that I like them for appearance sake.” He said in jest. “They are good, Isabella is happy and growing quickly, Louiza found herself a new boyfriend, some lovely lad from parliament, son of some larger baron somewhere.” He said, a slight annoyance in his tone.

She placed a comforting hand on his shoulder, fighting down a yawn as the adrenaline began to recede and the last few sleepless nights caught up to her. "She had to move on eventually, if only to satisfy her father." She smiled in an attempt to brighten the mood. "It's good to hear that Isabella is doing well. Does she understand yet what it means for her father to view hundreds of millions as a minor windfall?" She chuckled.

“She will in fifteen years, when she wants dresses, shoes and a nice car.” He said with a laugh. “I thank you for trying, but it's not her moving on that peeves me, she has been with others before.” He said as he looked at her hand and sighed. “Its that this is official, meaning that she will spend the coming Tirva at home with her father, mother and so forth, meaning that I won't see Isabella that week, or actually the whole vacation.”

"Ah," Sara said, at a loss for how to respond. "I'm sorry to hear that Hayden."

Hayden shrugged. “That's life I suppose.” He opened the water bottle and began drinking. “What about you, any brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews and so on?”

She shook her head. "Only child. I've got some cousins on my father’s side down in Lucena and my mother's side, but they're up in Iboure. My entire youth was pretty much just spent following Louiza around."

“No offense, but that sounds pretty dull in the long run.” He said before going into the living room and sitting on the couch. “So how was it being an only child, I assume a lot of attention and presents.”

She laughed. "Perhaps you could say that. My father was busy with his position at court, and my mother managing my grandfather's company in the region. But when we could get away they doted on me. We had a manor on the lake an hour or so outside the count's estate that we would go to from time to time, and obviously they made sure I got a wonderful education."

“Sounds like a lovely place to retreat to.” He said, looking up and down at her. “I cant blame them for having doted you, and I guess an education is a must in our social class.” He paused for a moment. “You however got a rather.” He got a grin. “In depth education compared to most.” He leaned back. “Its interesting, until a few years ago, I hadn't actually really celebrated Tirva, not properly anyway.”

"I am not most girls," She grinned back. "But I have to imagine my parents did not expect my education to follow the course it did." She chuckled. "You didn't celebrate? Why not? Tirva are some of my fondest memories."

“What do you buy the man who has everything? or the family for that matter.” He shrugged and drank a bit of water. “It just ended after my parents died, my grandfather never really bothered afterwards.” He looked down. “I started exchanging presents with Louiza a decade or so ago, and I have been more involved now with Isabella, but I never actually held a Tirva’s eve, the dining and so forth, exchange of gifts and the like. There was only really my grandfather and me, and he was often away during the eve, leaving me and Henry.”

"Sorry, Henry?" She raised an eyebrow curiously.

“My bad, my butler.” He replied.

"Oh." Sara failed to fully stifle a laugh. "I'm sorry that just seems like such a cliché." She shook her head playfully. "Well, if you can't spend the holiday with Isabella perhaps you could celebrate with me and my family? Assuming you don't have other plans of course," She added quickly.

He smiled. “I would love to but.” He looked at her for a moment. “Its really not needed, I don't wish to intrude on you and your family.”

“It wouldn’t be an imposition.” She waved a hand dismissively. “My parents would be thrilled to meet you. You’ll have to learn how to dance though.”

He laughed. “Is that so important?” He asked curiously.

“Not really, but it will be a party, and I can’t have you making me look bad.” She smiled, throwing her now empty water bottle towards the trashcan in the corner of the room, nudging it ever so slightly with her magic to make it go it. She was shocked to find how much energy it seemed to take, causing her eyelids to droop for a moment.

“Thats cheating.” He said with a slight chuckle before leaning back against the couch, resting his head on his hand as he looked at her. “Afraid I will make you look bad, huh?” He said jokingly. “Perhaps you will simply need to teach me.”

“I think you may need a professional, but I’d be willing to try, and we do have a few months.” She nodded. “But yes, as you may have noticed at your gala, or when we went to that club, I am the very picture of grace when dancing. If you’re no good at it it will reflect poorly on me.”

“I noticed, you were very graceful when you moved your body.” He said as he looked into her eyes. “But yes, we can't have it reflecting poorly on you, so we must simply practice extra hard.” He said returning the smirk.

“Fair enough I suppose. You’ll like it though, even if you don’t get good at dancing, mother’s parties are always interesting, and Lucena is beautiful during the winter.” She leaned back into the couch, tilting her head back towards the ceiling and letting out a relaxed sigh. The back of her mind was saying that it might be rude to fall asleep while she had a guest over, but the rest was simply tired.

He looked at her for a bit of time without talk. “Spending the day with you would be more than enough to have an enjoyable Tirvi worth the ones I missed.”

“I hope so,” Sara murmured as her eyelids slowly began to drift closed. “Everyone should be able to enjoy the holidays.”

He frowned, before taking a cushion and lying at one of the edges of the couch using it as a pillow. “Come here and lay down, you neck will hurt if you sleep like that.” He said sweetly.

Sara mumbled something that sounded like “Ok” and laid down her brain already dead to the outside world, resting her head on the cushion. “‘anks,” she yawned before finally letting sleep take her.

The Gallian War

The brutal Gallian War continues as hundreds of thousand bodies keep piling up in each side.

After the purge of the command in the southern armies, it's believed fearing for his live and with carte blanche to do whatever was necessary General jaeger begins a brutal subjugation of Fouzen city. Artillery strikes combined with relentless bombing was the norm as Principality forces assaulted again and again the gallian defense points. Using superior armored capabilities, building were torn down when necessary.

By midwinter over half the city have fallen into the Althine hands, whom keep losing troops against the stubborn gallians. thousand of non conscripted citizens had taken to fight the Althine forces whom simply disregarded all laws of war and killed anyone in their way.

In one surprise push with newly arrive reinforcements General jaeger managed to circle and destroy much of the professional resistance of the city making then end of them as guerrillas and militias escaped the city to avoid the fate of hanging to any dissenter.

The once beautiful Fouzen was in utter ruins as the ports, skyscrapers and homes of the people were simple a long lost memory.

In the south the yellow army under general Dupont advance against the Gallian forces in the same way as his predecessor but with much more aerial and armored advantage. Without caring for casualties the althine forces smashed upon the well placed defenses and strong points of the gallian, again and again and again until they broke through the exhausted gallian defenses, once a hole was in they overran them with armored cars and planes all the way to the capital city where reinforcements from the Northern armed began replenishing the loses.

Fear struck into althine however when the so called UST volunteer army invaded from the south in support of the gallian nation. The UST claimed they had nothing to do with it, and those men and woman had gone on their own, this came from both sides of the civil war. Some one hundred and twenty thousand men invaded Althine in the peak of winter, december. The duchy of Lorina entered in high alert as the volunteers come from union controlled northern yukigune and advance towards harriston, the clear goal to cut out the southern invasion force from supplies and men, three althine divisions attempted to stop them but were routed in combat against the UST forces, yet the Volunteer army stopped its advance thanks to a brutal snowstorm that hit the area forcing them to take cover for close to one week ending the month.

What will happen now we don't know but things surely have taken an interesting Turn with an invasion upon Althine soil. Troops have been moved back as air forces are scrambled to help push them back in a summer counteroffensive meanwhile the siege of the gallian capital had been delayed by the sudden invasion of the volunteer army.

(Althine loses -8 infantry, -3 tank, -2 air unit)(Fouzen falls, whatever military left scramble to gallipolis city from the north, Gallian capital surrounded, five infantry division of the UST volunteer army near Harriston city. Morale is low in the in the gallian camp, but UST army invasion raise some hopes for a peace agreement.)
