I congratulate our Conservative brothers for their strong showing this election; it also serves as a reminder to myself and Herr von und zu Birkenfeld, not to campaign so incessantly...

In any case, should the Conservatives be offered the Chancellery, the National Liberal Party would be glad to work with it.

The Founding of the DNVP​

Following the downfall of the Reich-Party, Theodor Franz von Lauendorf, chose that steps need to be taken in order to reassure stability within the Reich.
He steps up in the Reichstag and makes the following speech:

My fellow members of the Reichstag - fellow Germans,
today i talked to you, even if i had not been majorly invovled into the politics of the last years, because i see that my absence was a fault.
I can not stand the betrayal of the Reich that has happened internally, during the war with france.
I can not stand the betrayal of the Politicians, who choose Popularity over the lives of the German Soldier and Men.
I can also not stand the betrayal of our allies, who, even though we suffered the most from the war, refuse us to decide in negotiations.
I can not stand the fight the Reichstag is fighting against the Emperor, instead of fighting for improvements in Germany.

Thus, i announce the founding of a new Party, the Deutschnationale Volkspartei,
for all Germans, may they be rich or poor, who wish:
For a proper unity within the Fatherland.
For a proper honoration of its defenders.
For a Kaiser which can lead us to glory.
And for a government, which can offer you said things.

With a great sadness in my heart I gaze down upon the Reichstag. In my mind and soul ideas battle and voices cry out in protest to the things that are presented to me by the different political clusters, each so different but yet all united in the idea of accumulating as many votes as possible. They are like rabid dogs in a cage, fighting for food and space, so that they may spew their poisonous ideas at the German citizen.
But none of these parties send out a true political message. Never have they explained in what way they plan to “lead the nation to glory” (So far they’ve only led it to war and instability.), they only spew out vague ideas that under closer review come out as completely empty. They harvest voters not by hard work and patriotism, but by making sure their policies are so vague people vote for them simply because they fail to notice superior possibilities presented by minor political groups, such as the Reich Party itself.
We cannot of course ignore the elephant in the room – socialism. Ever since its ideals were proposed, the Reichstag was like a stronghold, resistant to such idiocy. But now, due to the de-centralization of Germany, it has slipped in, and the old parties start to compromise themselves in order to gain the vote of the workers. If we are not careful a coalition of Socialism will take over these halls.
With this corrupt system in place, Germany may never achieve political victory. A thousand ideas are adopted, but soon it emerges that without one central plan there will be no growth and harmony; the nation will be ripped apart by these vultures of democracy, who feast on the flaws of the system currently in place. There are no more values, God is no longer respected and the Kaiser is not paid the proper respect.
One hand washes another and progress is never achieved. Power is grasped, used and thrown out, but it’s never truly utilised for the greater good of the population.

Name: Prince Viktor zu Leiningen
Age: 36 (b. 1882)
Affiliation: German Conservative Party
Biography: The firstborn son of Emich, Prince of Leiningen, Viktor inherited his father's title following the Prince of Leiningen's untimely demise in 1904. With the majority of his family's possessions in Alsace-Lorraine, Viktor was raised with a strong hatred of the French that was only exacerbated by the recent war. Though he is titularly a prince, the Leiningens' standing is relatively minor and the oft-contested status of their possessions has left them with little influence in the German government. Now back from the Great War where he served as an officer of cavalry, Viktor takes his rightful place in the Reichstag to reverse his family's political fortunes and to ensure that a strong monarchical German Empire prevents Alsace-Lorraine from being ravaged by the French again.

Born into an old Prussian noble family with deep military tradtion, Ludwig broke the age old tradition and instead went to University of Königsberg to become a business man. After opening a sucessful steal mill he became interested in poltics but decided not to run in the last election due to the chaos that engulfed the Reich. With the war over Ludwig sold his steel mill to Krupp for a substantial sum of money and thus decided to start his poltical career. He is strongly monarchist and believes the Kaiser should still have an important role to play in the government and not become a figurehead of a crowned republic as the British monarchy has become.

I commend the Kaiser's choice of Chancellor; it is only right that the victor in the elections should be allowed to try to form a government first.

The election results are intriguing but reveal a marked preference towards moderate politics. I offer Herr von Weiss the aid of Zentrum in building his coalition.

Perhaps but considering early polls suggested a major defeat for the Communist party the success achieved in this election in almost holding all ground is notable indeed. The Communist party sees this as proof that at least some of the German workers know that the Communists are there proper representatives.

I shall not support the Kaiser's choice in a Chancellor, and instead I shall challenge Herr von Weiss for leadership of the German Conservative Party.

Herr Gustav Krupp has my full support for his bid to become leader of the German Conservative Party. His support for the Kaiser and the entire German Empire is unparalleled and I believe he will make a superb Chancellor.

I, for one, do not support this change of heart by the Kaiser; the new appointee is a man with no known convictions, happy to switch parties at the drop of a hat; one moment an avid republican, the next the most stalwart defender of the Monarchy. I would not trust such a man who does not stand by his word with control of the government.

Furthermore, I feel that it would be more appropriate if parties could organise their internal affairs before elections, not after, so that the voters have a clear choice and know who they are voting for.

In order to keep the Empire and its people safe, I hereby announce the formation of the Sicherheit und Schutz der Kommission(SSK). The SSK will compromise of roughly 120k men, who will receive military training and the latest weaponry available. They will have the right to arrest individuals harmful to the state. I appoint Adolf Richter as their Head, he will answer to me.

I must demand that the Reichstag be party to the running and regulation of this security operation; otherwise there is nothing to stop perfectly innocent people, such as me, being arrested or killed by the state on blown up charges of being 'harmful to the state'. Without these constraints to enable the Reichstag to oversee and control this force, I will be forced to regard this action as a deliberate and provocative act that stands only to increase the powers of the monarchy, perpetrate tyranny and suppress the liberty of all citizens of the German Empire.

I share concerns with my fellow Reichstag member who is to determine who is deemed harmful to the state. I don't want an Organisation which can arrest anyone it sees fit and act as an arbitrary instrument of terror.

This is exactly what i meant when i formed the DNVP, too low unity in politics for the good of the people, not even a party can decide on who to nominate for the post of chancellor.
