Another young face at the council, Ivar af Blót answered Three Rivers suggestion for elective monarchies with a bitter taste in his mouth.
- "I understand what you want to do good Lord, but this government form will replace old conflicts with new ones." He pauses, breathes in and then continues before drawing his sword "And for empty promises..."
The guards draw their swords and start to charge towards him but before they reach him he throws the sword onto the table.
- "Just because I have sworn to not draw my sword does not mean that I can't do it." His voice was angry and he yelled out the last part "THE PALE WILL NOT GIVE FREELY THEIR SOLDIERS TO A KING WHO WILL EXPLOIT THEM FOR THEIR OWN FOUL GREED."
He calmed down and continued.
- "Excuse me, I do not possess the calm of my liege, but I think I made my point."
The Pale does NOT accept any king above him, elective or not
