If there is another way to do so I really really really want to know, playing a 1.73 ironman ryuku and I had one of the luckiest starts, 1/1/1 emperor died to give me 5/3/2 or something like that, I beat the shit out of south east Asia so have 4 vassals in 1460, though i'm hoping ming will leave the coalition against me soon... Point being unless something goes wrong I am well on track to launch my own nuke pretty early on. Is there any point in me continuing with the exploit in your videos having been fixed? I've been reading up on the religious unity mechanic all day and I can't see any other way to get it to work . Is three mountains possible in 1.73????

Sweden is tricky because jake sits at -100 diplo points and he has no border with it so he cannot use religious CB meaning he can't fully annex them without spending diplo points which he doesn't have. He also can't integrete his vassals because he sits at -100 diplo points.

He won't be at -100 when he restarts tomorrow as he had just started his religious unity exploit when he stopped streaming.

That's why i said it's tricky, setting up religious unity with such basetax is kind of hard afterall.

I knew that the lack of a Swedish border could cause problems down the line so I started diplo-annexing Denmark even when I had -100 DIP and went about setting up a fresh bunch of unity missions. I overshot but a tiny amount, but converting 1 base tax of Shinto land set things right.

1.7.0 still works on ironman mode, although you have to have made a copy of it and disable steam auto updates for EU4.

I only just started my run and dont have any 1.7 saves (plus im not sure how to disable steam auto updates

Incidentally, 1.6 from the steam betas also still works in ironman (or did a couple of weeks ago)...got any 1.6 tricks? 1.5 unfortunately does not permit ironman, so no Minghals or scorched earth cheese to get achievements.

Yes! I tested this running the currently available 1.6 in the Steam betas - I loaded up Castille, took day 1 loans to get 500 ducats and took DOTF for the DOTF achievement. This was after 1.7.3 was out. I only recently began caring about ironman and achievements, so I still have easy ones that I can do.

Do you people not even pay any attention? He didn't even use the HRE, one of the most broken mechanics in EU4.

If you're still trying to figure out how to get around coalitions, you're probably not able to do it.
