Forts disappear

From what I read in the diaries, forts built in your own land should last until sieged down. I started a game as Venezia, built a fort. Year later, fort disappeared for no reason (I had no war, ruler is still the same).

I'll try to replicate this issue to see what may be causing it.

I managed to replicate it:
1. Build fort
2. Start building new holding
3. Fort disappears

It still happens in 2.4.2

That is WAD. When you build a new holding the fort is used to discount the construction, thereby replacing it. You will need to build a new fort.

Where do you found the info that this is WAD? I read all the dev diaries and I can't find it...

I see in the fort description that it can be upgraded to a CASTLE - but I was building a CITY, so I don't think it's WAD.
