Not because we need money, I actually believe we should earn almost zero in that companies, but anyway, why the state need to own these is to keep them open. To prevent bankruptcy and too high costs.

I am in full agreement.

It's probably in our best interest to avoid such labels. When I used the term "liberal," I was thinking in an American sense of the word. These kinds of confusion & imprecision are probably the best reason to stay away from these terms!

We must continue to define our party in terms that we believe in. Let the others call us what they want, so long as we stay true to whatever principles we believe in.

I'm not a member, but I'll give you some issues to get going on :D

What should your party's positions be on:
-regional/cultural autonomy
-threatened languages
-global warming
-Morroccan refugee
-assassination attempt on the former MoD
What should be priorities in military spending (army, navy, air power?)
How will you pay for any new programs/spending increases (raise taxes? Cut social services?

Gentlemen,

I believe we should discuss the new Monarchist Youth of Eutopia movement briefly while it is still in its infancy.

Although I applaud a movement which keeps the nation's youth "off the streets," and helps to instill in them traditional Eutopian values, I must nonetheless address an issue of concern about this organization. Specifically, I see in it a particularly militaristic, xenophobic, and conservative element which I do not believe comports with the values of our party.

Although Lord Vangeel has made clear this organization is not affiliated with the CRE in any way, it will nonetheless be associated with us in the press and in the public mind. Any actions it takes may be attributed to our party or our views.

For this reason, I suggest that our party take one of two courses: (1) adopt the movement as the youth wing of our own, preserving its core fraternal and educational purposes, yet preventing it from going too far right or from potentially embarrasing or damaging the CRE; (2) consistently distance ourselves from it, possibly to the point of denouncing it as a fringe group.

As election season is fast approaching, I believe we must address this issue quickly and carefully, before any damage is done to the CRE's chances at the polls.

Yours, etc.

Though our movement may seem more or less 'radical', we have no intentions of committing illegal acts or racist crimes. I even consider it an insult when you call us xenophobic. We want an open and tolerant society, BUT Eutopians shall keep their own identity, and therefore foreigners need to adapt to our culture.
Conservative? Yes! We are conservative! As we see that the political scene of Eutopia is crowded with left politicians, we would even consider it as a good thing for the CRP to become more conservative.
Militaristic? We are for more support for the army, but our organization is by no means a militia! The Monarchist youths are just enthusiastic young people willing to dedicate their life to King and Country!

If CRP wishes to recognize the organization as official party youth movement, we would consider that as an honour, and try to reach compromises between our views.

If CRP wants to denounce our group, then I'm afraid I'll have to be leaving the party... I certainly hope not.

- regional autonomy: NEVER

- threatened languages: fine for me whatever happens IF the Unitary Nation is not threatened

- global warming: not interesting

- Morroccan refugees: Eutopia must not be a host for TERRORISTS!

- assasination attempt: more security needed!

- Military: as military is definitly the most important departement, this needs to be the absolute #1 priority!

Gentlemen,

I am currently maneuvering on several fronts to see that the voice of the Nationalist Party will be heard in the upcoming elections. While I still hope to obtain a spot on the ballot, I am a realist and know that our current government is not likely to allow for an increased voice for the right. I am willing to consider giving your entire party's ticket an endorsement in the upcoming elections. My one condition would be that you do not move to unilaterally install a monarch without a clear and overwhelming mandate.

My question for you is, what will you do to see that the Nationalist voice is heard? If I may be so humble as to propose a possible answer. Should you be in a position to influence the makeup of the new government, then perhaps a minor cabinet position? As you know I have a great deal of interest in cultural affairs and would be honored to be considered for the position of MHSA.

Respectfully,

Jacob Langley
