No Gaelic culture for England (Great Britain/United Kingdom) in AGCEEP.

Wales starts with Gaelic culture but will turn to Anglosaxon with Welsh Act of Union, Scottish provinces (but not Highlands) too with the Act of Union. Irish provinces will never change.
Mmm, yeah I had a doubt with this (Irish provs not changing).

According to AGCEEP you get the Ulster Plantation event, the one that gives you a slight tax boost and changes the culture/religion of Ulster to Gaelic/Reformed.

My question is here:

¿Shouldn't be anglosaxon instead of gaelic? For what i have read is that the presbiterians scots settled there, but when the Act of Union event fires, most of Scotland (except highlands) changes to anglosaxon.

Shouldn't Ulster change as well? After all, there were scots descendants and englishmen that could surely be considered as "anglosaxon".

Or am I wrong?

Are you sure you are talking about AGCEEP and not other mod?

Ulster Plantation event doesn't change culture of Ulster in AGCEEP, only religion.
It is true Act of Union changes most of Scotland (except highlands) to anglosaxon. But Anglosaxons shouldn't become dominant in Ulster for historical reason and gameplay too. Ireland can revolt in Ulster, no way to see primary culture of Ireland anglosaxon... Too weird :)

Btw, there is no Gaelic/Irish culture in AGCEEP, only Celtic one.

Yeah I was talking about AGCEEP, and yes, I know that there aren't culture changes on Ireland.

What I wanted to know is why Ulster's culture couldn't change to anglosaxon with the Act of Union event, since the first plantations in Ulster where scots (celtic), and those scots turns into anglosaxon with the Act of Union.

Shouldn't the Scots in Ulster change into anglosaxon as well?

I edited my post in the mean time. Irish people are the majority of the population. We just help England with good religion bonus but wrong culture penalty remains.

England/GB is usually Protestant by this stage, so how are they helped by Ulster turning Reformed?

Not unless you want to end in 1820, no. Is that a problem?

No. But Yoda was pointing out that AGCEEP ends at that time so in AGCEEP gaelic culture for England is too early.

Well, I don't think it necessarily has to be too early... but eh. :p
