We have a ship designer, nice. Yet what would be much more needed is a formation designer. The tip-to-enemy triangle formation currently used by all fleets is probably the worst imaginable formation considered how battles play out. Granted, this also has a lot to do with too short weapon ranges and star sytem to ship scaling, yet why not implement a Formation Designer that allows you to choose between different geometrical shapes in which you can place the ship categories, so you can decide whether the assault battleships should be at the frontline or protecting the flank, whether the warp suspending battleships should be in the center or in the back of the formation, and so on. Being allowed to have three formations would be enough to switch between in the flee view.
