I believe there should be several more formable countries in the game, considering formable countries just gives players a bigger goal to strife for if they aren't doing achievements.

I won't post all of my ideas at once, but I will continually update this post as I find more plausible(either already fallen countries, or slightly ahistorical ones which could plausibly have existed) through research.

PS. For now this post shall contain basic information. For things like NI's, I would have to do more in depth research.

1. Great Mongol State: This will basically be when one of the hordes reforms the fabled Mongol Empire, the second largest Empire in history, and the largest contiguous Empire in history.

Requirements:
  1. Primary culture: Can be either Tartar, Altaic, Manchu(not the main Chinese culture itself), Oghuz
  2. Province/Core Requirements: Okay, honestly, since they were so huge, I want to know if you guys have any ideas how many provinces they should require, and which cores they should require.
  3. Tech Requirement: 15 military technology.
Effects:
  1. Country changes to Great Mongol State/Mongol Empire
  2. Government form changes to either Elective Monarchy(considering that was their type of monarchy) or a government form literally named Steppe Empire. The Steppe Empire would grant you +10% Morale of Armies, +10% Cavalry Combat Ability, +15% Land Forcelimit Modifier.
  3. Prestige +10
Traditions:
  1. No extra cost for reinforcing armies
  2. -5% Land maintenance modifier
Ambitions:
  1. +5% Discipline
National Ideas: Well, no idea yet.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Later after I finish playing EU4 I will post some more formable nation ideas. If you have any ideas of your own, I will add them to this post if I like them, so they are easier to find instead of everyone having to scroll through the entire thread

Personally I would prefer to move away from adding more formables and instead introduce dynamic flags and tags.
I've been repeating this since before release however.

I really like formable nations
How about Francia/Kingdom of the Franks (basically own all of France and HRE and be either German or French), Old Saxony (North/North west Germany) or Israel (the same as Jerusalem, but have to be Jewish)

Old Saxony would only really be available to Norse Saxons and then it'd be in custom games anyway negating the point!

It is really off, France was the Kingdom of the Franks before year 1190. Philip II just changed the title to refer the land instead of people thus Kingdom of France is Kingdom of the Franks. IHMO Empire of Francia never existed, Charlemagne was crowned as Emperor of the West (d'Occident).

I think that they would reform into the mongol khanate, also i think they would have to be a horde, and if they reformed government they would revert.

Once there were Salian Franks, but also the Ripurian Franks, Clovis managed to unite both tribes be in late 5th century and became first King of the Franks. Even thought realm kept breaking down such realms as Kingdom of Paris and Kingdom of Soissons there were always single King of the Franks. This continued until Treaty of Verdun, where Lothair I, Louis the German, Charles the Bald agreed to share the title, to avoid confusion they're anachronically referred as West Francia, Middle Francia and East Francia. King of the Franks (east) was eventually reformed into King of Germany as heir apparent title, King of the Franks (middle) kind of became Duke of Lorraine, and like I said earlier the Franks (west) was eventually changed to King of France.

You can already form France (West Francia) and Germany (East Francia), you can already play as Lorraine (Lotharingia), but when you think about it... It might be fun to have a decision to form Lorraine (Lotharingia) if Lorraine doesn't exist, if you have Burgundian primary culture and if you own majority of the Lotharingia region (that is shown below).

Thank you, I am basing all I have said off of Extended timeline mod, so its nice to get some solid history.

Such annoying misspelling, also I was wrong about that part, apparently Clovis' descendants also shared the title of King of the Franks.

Germany - Unification (EU4 time) was in theory
Greece - Reconstruction based on Non-Roman identity, exist as theory
HRE - Unification, exist as theory
Ireland - Unification (EU4 time) exist as theory
Italy - Unification (EU4 time) exist as theory
Romania - Unification (EU4 time) not exist as theory so stupid
Ruthenia - Unification (EU4 time) exist as theory
Scandinavia - Unification (EU4 time) exist as theory
Westphalia - Stupid thing

Why do you consider Westphalia a 'stupid thing' even though such a kingdom actually existed in history and even within the EU4's timeline, while you approve of many others which were only a very loose theoretical possibility?

(Please don't see it as an ad personam, I'm genuinely curious what arguments you have against Westphalia, to me they seem rather natural given that we have Westphalian culture split between various HRE minors).

@Alexona - Westphalia was a napoleonic client state, not as theory or whatever. If Westphalia is formable state why not Etruria or Duchy of Warsaw?

@123e55 - I do not remember any of philosophers, poets, writers etc. talking about Romania before the nineteenth century.
