We don't charge such a fee, no. Whether your financial institutions does is up to them.IS there a foreign transaction fee for buying items from the Paradox store in the US? I know the prices are in USD but BOA the scumbags they are have hit me with one before from other stores?
You finally got your golden bar though.Ended up calling the bank, they weren't sure because it was a swedish company, but in the end didn't get charged. Now $100 poorer![]()

And good to hear you didn't end up having to pay a fee. Though it being in USD it would be illogical for there being a fee, since you don't have to do any currency conversion.
Sounds terrible. And I really can't see any reason for charging a fee given that the transaction is in USD. Then you might as well charge a fee from purchasing from say Tiffany's or some other American company. Also sounds like a great "scam"; wouldn't be surprised if they make hundreds of millions if not billions a year on this fee.Speaking of Highly Illogical woke up today with a $4 Foreign Transaction Fee :/ Bank of America is really the worse
This is actually correct. We don't have offices around the world so any transaction made goes straight to us (which is why sometimes users get payments refused as per this article).Apparently the they claim that the Paradox store is internationally coded in there system as residing soley in Stockholm.

Many companies have local offices or "payment hubs" where transactions go to before being rerouted to the country of origin. We don't (due to a variety of issues) and as such some banks will charge and international transaction fee (though at least here in Sweden that's quite rare).
