I find that forcing religion is really hard (basically you can only do that do really small nations). Is there a way to make it easier? I had an idea that perhaps you could dedicate whole war 'only' to this goal and maybe then also convert medium-size nations.
Edit: When I think about it we could use some kind of "religious authonomy" mechanic, similar to province authonomy now. For example history shows that many times just King of the nation officialy changed religion but it took long time for nations to change, so at the beginning it could 'literally' only be the king who converted (this was a bit Lithuania's and Poland's case I think). Or some kind of percentage-based system, because we know that many lands are not 100% of religion X believers.
