I'm playing vanilla on my third game - the first two, 1419, with portugal to explore colonization and now, Castille. I am experiencing a problem allying with countries after forcing them into vassalization. I suspect it's due to my lack of royal marriages with them following the vassalization, but are there any tricks to getting this to work? Specifically, I am dealing with France, Modena, and Siena in the mid 15th century; however, IIRC, the process worked perfectly with Bourbannais. BTW, I have +190-200 relations when I attempt.
