It's been awhile since I ever tried it (a few patches) and now... I never have the option.

I'm playing the Pope and until now I always thought it was because I didn't have control of the capital, or because I wasn't the leader on that war etc etc etc.

But the last time, it was a revolter from me (savoy), I didn't ask the help of the alliance, and I control the capital (only province). They're reformed - is that the problem?
Or has some patch just removed this possibility?

If you want to convert a christian nation to catholicism by force you must be counterreformist catholic (CRC).

hmmm...
Has the Edict of Tolerance-event fired? I'm not at all sure that it has an effect, but still...
If that's not it I have no idea why it doesn't work...

If it did, I missed it.

Year's 1683 though, a bit too soon, no?

Ho well... life's hard for us chatolic fanatics :(

You have to have 50% warscore and have to make a separate peace with the country (click on your shield in peace proposal to toggle) => not as the leader of the alliance (even if you're alone).

One last question before the thread fades into the mists. In the earlier versions of the game, were CRCs the only ones allowed to force-convert, or has it always been as it is now?
