So, I love how I'm able to force one of my custom empires to appear in game. It warms my heart to see my favourite race in the galaxy, even when I'm not playing them.
What I want, however, is the ability to do the same thing with premade empires. Despite having been playing for dozens of games, I sadly have yet to meet the Blorg or experience their legendary friendship. Oh, and the Rontor also appears in all of my last 3 games, for some reason. I know that it's all random but it still make me rather sad. I think that an in-game option to enable/disable premade empires appearance like we have with custom empires would be great.

I'm under the impression from glancing through the premades in the game files that Blorg are specifically set to never spawn in-game as an AI empire.
Can't check it right now but doubt it since there is even a fanatical befrienders ai personality, though I am not sure if I have seen the Blorg since I removed my custom empire after they got into vanilla.. Hmm

You can create other empires with the correct trait set to get that AI personality, sure, and it was probably made with the Blorg in mind, but the premade Blorg empire itself does not spawn naturally as far as I know. I might be wrong, and feel free to fact-check me on this- I just recall that it had a "Spawn = NO" tag in the files.

There is a work around.

You can select and edit every premade empire, save them without changing anything, and then force them to spawn ingame. Do this with all empire and voila.
