Nothing much, for once - aside from the ENDTech security, it seems a new era of peace has settled over Eutopia. Let us hope that the government governs much and ruins little during this period.

I mean that there has been little concern for an attack.At least any where else.

Noticing the curious looks, he got up and walked towards the conversation, hand outstretched, "Jack."

"What is your platform, Mr...." Jack's eyes narrow, and focus, "Hapsburg?" I haven't voted here since I was first eligible. Been away most of the years in between--and before for that matter."

Well, we are conservatives, though the party has lost popular support. I daresay, the party chairman, Per Forbes, has disappeared. (OOC: There is probably going to be a new constitution. The platform is at the Headquarters thread.)

"Hmmm.... strong state.... greater ties with the rest of the island.... stability....sounds good," Jack looked up from the pamphlet.

"Tell me... what does your organization think about business? You know, international business?"

Well, we think buisness should be supported by the state, and the best way to do that is to lower taxes. International buisness, can at the present time be a boon to Eutopia.

 

[Yakman]

"I am a consultant for several firms looking to do business here in Eutopia. As you well know, many companies have pulled out following the troubles here and some are interested in coming back. However, they would need assurances that these liberals won't let the situation go to hell."

Well, there is relative peace here, no nasty bombings or terrorist attacks. There was a threat of a terrorist attack on ENDTech buildings by a radical seperatist organisation, but it is safe to asume that that there will be no terrorist attack in the near future.

"But wut about thoze ilands out west? Duzn't seem like anywun has any reel kuntrol out there... and that Haynayn Star bizniss. Seems like these waters are a tad kayotic. My klyents don't want to invest in a kuntry that kant keep itz navy strayt. Wuz in a kuple of navys myself in my time..."

The Hainan Star incident is a trumped up casus belli used by China every time they want something. We were merely stopping a ship for a routine search, and were ignored. Admiral Tulp merely was trying to stop what might have been a smuggler from not paying the tariffs. And as for the claimed islands, they are merely claimed for prestige and nationalism.
