that may be the shorter time for a country (with army and Navy) to surrender. But Denmark have the disadvantage of lacking any natural defences.

Don't talk that with just surrendering to a force they perfectly knew they could not resist spared their country a great deal of destruction and suffering.

The downside was of course, that the Allies saw Denmark as a German ally :( It only changed after the German defeats at Stalingrad and El Alamein gave the Danes the guts to strike(!) in August 1943. And even then the Danes in London had a hard time convincing the Allies that we indeed did belong to the good guys.

Poor Danes, really unlucky...

Nah, not unlucky. We brought it on ourselves. But at least the number of Danish SS camp guards was considerably lower than for other nations attacked earlier in the war.

Oh, I was just replying in kind by hinting at the German practice of finding helping hands for their "Endlösung". To the best of my knowledge, they where unable to find any in Denmark despite the fact that 7,000 Danes unfortunately volunteered for East Front service. As far as I know the Germans had more luck in other countries with a more recent history of anti-Semitism. And before this all explodes in a fury of rampant nationalism: No, I'm am not exclusively thinking of your country. :)
