Damn, advertising another game from the competition on our own forums? That's quite an interesting and definitely classy move, I'll give you that.

I've heard of Endzone and looked at it, but I don't think that it's a replacement for StA by any means. Endzone was described by some players as 'Banished but with a postapocalyptic skin over it'. Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy Banished, but StA is definitely its own separate game. They play a bit similar of course, all city builders do to some degree, but there's so many notable parts of StA that set it apart. The specialist system, the world map, the research system, and so on.

I haven't played Endzone, I may eventually (I'm a sucker for city builders) but I HAVE spent plenty of time playing StA and I already know it's a good game that's been getting better and better each update. I'm actively champing at the bit for any tidbits about upcoming updates and changes.

As for the Steam vs Epic thing, that's just complete silliness. IMO both platforms have advantages and disadvantages and it seems silly to favor one over the other. Epic lacks features (Gifting, shopping cart, workshop and modding, etc) but is better for developers due to their more generous cut of the profits, while steam is greedier but also more feature packed. Epic also has a more... curated? I guess? collection of games where Steam just has everything, which is good and bad. Sure, you can find the good games there but sales are often for the lower quality indie games, cheap asset flips, and terrible porn knockoffs. At least in Epic I can browse the store without having to see all that drivel. I definitely like both platforms and I think that competition is healthy for the industry, since Steam has been kind of in a rut for a while now. Maybe if Steam loses complete industry dominance it'll force Valve to innovate and expand? To start actively culling the worst of their library perhaps? Or maybe it'll push them to actually resume work on the Half Life series?

That's just my 2 cents.
