Yes and usually Vatican rampages soon through the land, conquering all of Italy and Germany. Only to show Stalin, that the Pope has Divisons now. Much of them.
Sounds great. I look forward to playing FTM, though think I better finish my Italy game first with those new maps. Although I think my game is in for some trouble. USA joined Allies in 1938, and I'm considered more of a threat than Nazi Germany. ^^
THe coast of Norway looks like someone attacked a very solid piece of wood with a blunt axe. Love the new accuracy all the same. Although I couldn't possibly comment on the rivers, I never really noticed them until I had to cross them

But these changes still stink because the important Canary Islands haven't been fixed and we all know that to at least one poster it is a game breaker and must be fixed NOW.

I like the sound of this! I am a bit disapointed that it appears that Goa was not included though.
The Map is brilliant - without doubt
But since the beginning of the HOI series I am asking myself:
Why has the "Free City of Danzig" never been included on the map or in the game?
I assume it is because of game mechanics, but it is sooo ahistorical.

Seriously, though, opening the yearly amplitudes for modding would be great. They seem too low at the moment, and they're hardcoded in Semper Fi.
Well one doesn't need to look at thousands of maps, just one or two from that era for each area of the map, just pointing out the resources are there. And since Antwerp was a strategic port (goal of Watch on the Rhein for example), not making it one is like putting Sweden in Finland. Funny how the Swedish part of the map looks pretty good and they couldn't even get major cities that actually were in WW2 correct. I will refrain from taking the bait ("Next!") but let's just say the HOI3 forum experience is not always a friendly one.
Are there going to be any Paradox Connect achievements? I love them in DW and look forward to other games having them.
Okay I'm kinda new to pdox games cept for DH and Vicky 2 of course. and i have to say south american borders are less accurate than in hoi2's please fix this i like playing brazil and colombia and such but there just plain ugly and weak/poor in hoi3 orginal. but i have to say europe looks stunning.
