Are you feeling sick about loosing money? Are you feeling incompetent to make your transportation dreams come true? Are you tired of making metro lines just to get your company some profit before starting to tinker with trams and buses?

Here is your solution. (lol... what a sales speech)

I tried to make 100% metro gameplay on Amsterdam map, and if somebody wants to continue from there, I decided to put my save game public.

All loans have just been paid off, company makes decent profit etc. There are lots of stupid things with metro lines, and system certainly needs improvement and other transportation methods. So... feel free to tinker with this and if you get something cool done with it, post screenshots!

Details:
Company value over 300k
around 95% coverage with only metro
Profitable: yes, with normal ticket prices
Debt: none
Year: before 1930.

Download my save game here

My main goal was to do a comprehensive, profitable network as fast as possible, so people who suck at getting their companies profitable, can start playing and making bus lines :)

Your title "For people who find this game too difficult" and your sales speech makes me think you would give us some tips. Doesn't help at all to give a game where you already have a success company, and all I have to do is watch or play with trams that is not necessary anymore, because everybody can go everywhere with freaking metro.
Boring....

In my opinion, the game is only 50% done, since people still have to walk long distances to get where they want. I tried to do some metro lines afterwards, and it increased my profits. :)
But of course I can give you guys some tips, just ask what you want to know.

Short guide how I got to where that save game was:

1. Take a loan and build metro line from northern railway station towards center.
2. Expand metro line to factory area in south.
3. Start doing a circle, which goes around the center (to feed the first metro line)
4. Expand to next canal and do a circle there.

--

I've played about 5 games in that map, and this was the first one with pure metro. I've also done a strategy with a large metro loop + feeding buses & trams. It seems that I manage to get about the same profit with that strategy as well, even that people have to wait longer time in stations because some of those bridges are just jammed with traffic.

It only shows that the game is NOT balance. The only way to win is really by metro....

The game is very balanced, and you can certainly "win" Amsterdam campaign with very little metro. I built one North-South Metro line with my starting cash and fed that Metro line with trams. The metro was very simple. Train Terminal in the North, central square downtown, and ending at the factory in the South. In the Southwest I built tramlines from the airport, to the villiage, and then to the factory where it meets the metro. In the Southeast I made trams from villages to the Factory. In the North I made trams from the rail terminal in the Northwest to the east. Then I want around the outside of the map... all of those villages and special areas got a tram stop and I fed them towards the center of town to connect to my 3-stop metro. This became very profitable.

I think some people need to stop complaining about why the first attempt or two they try doesn't work.... and try to figure out how the game works and build it using what makes sense given the dynamics of the game.

Yes, we have no problem winning using metro.
But without metro, just by bus and tram, it is impossible to have large profit

And for a simulation game, if the game can only win by one strategy, it is a boring game

The game is very balanced
You're starting to lose credibility with all this repetitiveness. The game certainly isn't balanced. There are massive traffic problems, stemming not only from volume, but the way traffic moves. I've got significant coverage on my current town, as in almost total, and traffic is a mess. I have well layed out lines that take workers to work and go by leisure places like the shopping center, but it's starting to fall apart as traffic has been growing exponentially and buses are now starting to jam up, which causes people to dislike the service, which causes more cars and more delays.

This is not balanced, this is broken:
