Food list question

Noticed in my drop down menu list for Food, it identified one as Protected Crops but am not sure what exactly qualifies as such?

I don't have any Greenhouses or Insect Farms built so it can't be either one of those in this case. I was thinking it might be food stockpiled in my Gate's storage area but the numbers don't match one another as far as how much food I currently have in my Gate's storage and what is being identified here as Protected Crops.

Certain crops are resistant to events like drought becaus tehy grow underground. Likely you have peanuts or potatos that qualify there

My current game says "Harvestable Crops" so not sure if there's a difference?

I'm assuming your Harvestable Crops are those crops ready to be harvested whether they be in a field, greenhouse, or in an insect farm.

I'll have to pay attention to when one of my fields comes ready to be harvested and see if that same message is displayed in my drop down menu as well, which I expect it should. Guess I've never navigated up to it when any of mine were ready to be harvested to notice that same message in my game.

They should state "harvestable crops" as those are the ones you get from your open fields. "Protected crops" come from the Greenhouse. This has been fixed in the latest update, so if you update your game to the latest possible version, does it still stay as "protected crops" or does it change to "harvestable crops"?

For mine, it seems to lump everything into "Harvestable Crops" and doesnt distingusish between my greenhouses, and my farms.

I'll maybe run through another game and see though

After updating, it displayed correctly on my end. Sorry about that IFS.
