Are we going to be able to zoom in and follow a car as it moves throughout the city? I loved being able to zoom in as a car in SC5 and cities XL to see how the city looked as someone who lives there.

I'm not sure how close you can zoom in to the ground level. From what I've seen from the videos, the closest you can get is about 1 storey up. I also would like to get down to ground level and experience my city from ground level (I've always wanted this from
Simcity Classic, and I think CitiesXL did this rather well - even better than CS2013.) However, I can understand why they would avoid that at this stage: That would require spending a lot of time 3D modeling people, which would be totally irrelevant to the functioning of the game, and would consume time which could be better used elsewhere.

What I would also love is a drive mode, like in SC4. - except this time, it must be easy to go around the corners and stick to the speed of the traffic around you. I found it nearly impossible not to crash into other motorists in SC4, because all you had was acceleration to top speed and brakes.

I don't think there is any chance we are getting a ground view follow mode at launch. Like it was stated above the closer you zoom in the more detailed the graphics and models will need to be. I would rather they not focus so much on making everything pretty from 10 feet away and just make the game run nice and look decent from higher up. Then later they can add a drive mode as DLC or something like Rush Hour.

i'm pretty sure you can follow a car from a drone height.
And I am pretty sure that you simply guess. Otherwise I´d like to see a link.
The camera should go down on "eye level", about 2 meters above ground. I have seen that screenie with a seagull, would be nice to "link up" with that.

The annoying thing about SimCity 5 was when you followed things around, the popup box would stay in front of your screen. Kind of ruins the whole "feel" of following your sims around. I'm hoping there's a way to close the box, but still follow for CS:S
