Flying Tigers Event (US) 1.12.8

Does anyone know if I have to build AI designed p-40's for the dispatch the flying tigers decision? So after agreeing to the FT event pop-up the game produced this build:

Without thinking anything of it, I already clicked the send flying tigers decision, and got the +1 air cap, but I'm wondering if not having 150 of that plane build will screw something up. I mean, why would the game auto generate the build if I didn't have to do anything with it?

Anyone know?

Unless it has changed recently, no. For all of the various 'send equipment' decisions it sends the 'oldest' design first. So if you still have any of the starting P-1 Hawks available, they will be sent.
