Also it could have a decision to form Tuscany if it owns siena and hopefully with the new patch other provinces. The adm tech req should be the same as for sardinia-piedmont

The Italia mod has this already, but it would be great to see it in vanilla as well. More flavor for one of my favorite nations.

I mean... yes? It's a good suggestion, and Paradox should heed it, but I'm not sure what kind of discussion you expect if everyone is agreeing with you.

Yeah, by the same token you should be naming Hungary 'Magyarország'. The majority of the playerbase would probably freak out and start oozing blood from all of their orifices at that.

Well Catalunya exists already, and it's not called Catalonia, something has gone wrong somewhere, it seems.
.Back to topic: Florence as a strarting country would be very nice, historical and is actually the same principle as the Tibet split up. A Tuscan nation owning Florence, Siena and Pisa could be able to form Tuscany (with our without a government change to monarchy).
Now, what would be funny since few people would figure it out... if there would be Suomi and Miṣr in game.
* Finland and Egypt. My point is that we can't use non-English names at least in the English version, because only a few people know or even like the native names, the endonyms. For reference see the constant uproar caused by the Paradox in-house joke of "Cosmopolitaine" instead of "French"/"Francois".

You can already do it in the localization file, without breaking ironman. There's already a number of mods giving the correct name of countries.
