Hello,

Sorry but there's a bug that's really bothering me. Anyways, I think it's a bug - seems like a REALLY annoying feature otherwise...

I hate it that when my explorer dies while he's leading my fleet on a mission to explore the pacific ocean, my fleet just stands still instead of returning home automatically. Usually when this happens I get like 20 pop ups at a time so I just hold enter since i cant be bothered reading all that stuff... This means that a dead explorer almost always means that my entire fleet gets deleted since theres no way im going to make it on time when I see that pop up about a dying fleet. I'm doing a game where I've been struggling with money the entire game and have multiple loans and now my entire fleet gets deleted. To me thats instantaniously a reason for a ragequit... though it might just be because I had to ctrl alt del the game 3 times in a year because my 18 yo heir keeps deciding to die for no reason...

Yeah, it can be annoying. You shouldn't explore with your entire fleet though, I think 3 ships is the minimum and I don't think there are many reasons to go beyond that.

You might want to edit the pop-up messages you get, you can do this under the in-game options screen. It will cut down on the clutter, and improve your overall play as well. The default settings are not always set up for the type of campaign you are currently engaged upon.

Well, when Magellan circumnavigated, he actually died, and one ship still came back without Magellan. They did not stop in the Pacific. They're sailors, they can sail.

In my recent game I also had that happen. Usually the fleet just returns home with some attrition damage, but one time it just stayed in the middle of the ocean and I ended up losing the ships. I didn't pay enough attention to figure out what might have triggered the different behaviour...
