I think a few more options to manage fleets would be very beneficial to this game. In Europa Universalis IV, there is a button to create a siege detachment. I would like to see a 'Create Blockade Detachment' button, which serves the same purpose. This button would create a small fleet, which immediately bombards a planet. Then the main fleet could guard the system. I have had many issues where an aggressive fleet stance, would cause my fleet that was bombarding a planet to immediately disengage to hunt down a construction ship. This would solve this issue, but I think it could also be extended further.

I would like to see a 'link' between the detachment and the fleet it came from. The original fleet could click this button to recall all detachments and form up. I think this opens the door to other types of detachments, such as recon detachments.

Definitely need more options like this.

Splitting and creating fleets is quite arduous at the moment.

The More I think about it and troll through the Suggestions forum the more I wished Stellaris was built from a EU4 base, UI, panels, diplomacy, map modes etc. Everything but the tech system which I think could be updated slightly to be less random. I had a game where I decided not to research Warp Drive engines when it came up and it took waaaaaaaaaaay to long for it to come up again, leaving me unable to warp jump a spiral to help an ally in a war I was dragged into (Even worse because nobody gives military access, can't we just ignore this BS and cop a penalty to relations or somethin?)

The features in EU4 would cross well into Stellaris!
