I dont think it is possible for an army to support another army's attack when he is on the verge of capturing it. Especially when the other one is in an another province.
This definately didnt happen in real life, how is it possible for an entire army to move so fast and far to assist in fighting an offensive battle.
There has to be a solution to this

This is just a simplification. Maybe it would be better if all attacks were taking place at least few hours after the decidion, instead instantly. This would be a bit more realistic. Those troops must get to the place they fight after all. It's not WWI, where troops stay still 500m away from each other. If there are no combat actions going on, it means they are around 50 km apart at least.

I like that idea. while i think the instant battle is much better than hoi 1 , when you had to wait days" weeks" for a battle to start perhaps a couple of hours wait would solve a couple of problems hmmmmmmmm...

I don't see this as being a significant improvement to my gameplay experience. Yes, maybe its not the most realistic thing in the world, but neither is movement-is-attack.

But I wouldn't enjoy the game any more than I do now if every attack was delayed by a requisite number of hours for the troops to rally to the front, whether it be the primary or the supporting attack forces.
