Currently heresies in the game are little more than minor inconveniences for your court chaplain and the occasional opportunity for holy wars. As they are all treated the same by the game mechanics, playing a heretic is not very interesting as the main beliefs of the heresies are not represented.

- Iconoclast: Destruction or vandalism of the icons of Christ Pantocrator and the saints, perhaps reversing the effects of the Orthodox icon-events
- Fraticelli: Bonfires of the vanities, akin to those that accompanied Bernardino da Siena, reducing city tax by 40% for 2 years
- Cathar: Renunciation of oaths and marriage vows, causing random divorces and independence wars (maybe too drastic?)
- Lollard: Presentation of the Twelve Conclusions, reducing church taxes by 100% until conversion
- Druze: Refusal to recognise the current Caliph as Imam, lowering moral authority by 2% each year for 5 years
