Althought it appears in the game as "Occitan", it is spelled in nearly all the game's files, including \common\culture\00_cultures.txt as

Which, naturally, is annoying enough for every Occitan person to have a "Humiliate" CB on Paradox studios.

Seriously tho that's pretty misleading when it comes to modding.

I hope that this belongs in "Suggestions", if not, I am sorry, I think it's my first post here.

Cultures in the game files which contains errors arr hard to fix.

Not in the sense of them being hard to change, but it has very significant consequences.

Anything reliant on this single culture has to be changed. Any mod using the old system would completely need to fix it for this single change.

And its hardly the biggest problem.

The germanic cultures are way worse with things like hannoverian being Westphalian while low Saxon was added in 1 30 even though hannoverian dialect is more closely related to what low Saxon represents than westphalian.

Similarly hessian is the name for the Rhenish culture.

If they change the code then it will have severe consequences on any mod and event tied to it.

There is also the issue of save game compatibility. If they change the internal name of a culture, any province, country and ruler with that culture would have noculture when loading a save game from before the change.
