So, after reading some topics about current bug that planets after being reduced to dust don't change into Tomb Worlds I decided to make a small fix to remedy this issue.

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1930447109

Because of current mechanic planet will be changed after these conditions are met:
  • 100% Planet Devastation
  • Only 1 Pop is left on the planet
  • Bombardment Stance is set to Armageddon/Pox
After that colony will be wiped out and planet class will be changed to Tomb World.

Had to change a little bombardment stances so Armageddon/Pox does not kill all the population.
It's a safety mechanism to ensure correct event is triggered.

Let me know if there are any issues with this fix.

Just a little update - small oversight from my side.

Because of changed bombardment conditions it was not possible to clear habitats and Ringworld sections with Armageddon/Pox bombardment stance.
This issue has been resolved now and after devastation reaches 100% and there is only one pop alive both artificial planets will be wiped clean and ready for new owner to come and grab them.

You're a goddamn lifesaver man. I've been dealing with this problem since 2.3 came out.

Edit: So, I have the mod loaded and the last pop died before the planet reached 100% devastation. Is that a bug?

Have to admit I didn't encounter such problem.

In theory with this small fix of mine Armageddon/Pox Bombardment shouldn't kill the last pop. Especially that if I recall correctly planet needs to reach 100% devastation for pops to start getting killed.
Can you please verify that this happens on regular basis?

In my testing I bombarded planets both with a lot of pops and with small amount and every time it worked. In first case planet was well under 100% devastation before all the required pops died, and in second last pop was waiting for planet to reach 100%.
However when I get back to my normal PC I will check it again. Thank you for your feedback.
