when u guys write your AARs could u do me the small favor of putting in your countryname and year in the subject line ...like eg. "Savoy 1419-1426" ...its probably just me but I believe that this would make it somewhat easier for any outsiders to follow what happens...especielly considering the rotating turn order.

Looks like I'm up. Now to check on the status of the world before deciding on a nation to rule. Most likely one of the NA countries - that pond is getting awfully small.

I won't be able to get to the game until tonight - that should give backpack plenty of time to scheme.

Oh, and can someone clarify the rules on early agression and selling DP's I have 3 DP's left, I saw some reference to selling one or more for ducats, but not being able to buy more DP's. Do I need to wait two turns before DOW'ing all of you?

Yep you have to wait two turns before annexing anyone. I don't know if we decided anything about buying more DP's.

The DP clicks issue is dead. I will take my 3 clicks and the cash...or...2 clicks and cash based on the current situation. My poor little Mantua got devoured...so...they won't be producing any invincible armies in the near future.

What u might have missed is that we have a speciel rule saying that if one happens to play last, on a friday morning gmt, with your computer monitor facing east north east AND your name happens to begin with an A and the ottomans has lost control of smyrna to the knights then and ONLY THEN can that player pick the ottomans! - didnt u see it ? it says so with fine print in the rules....in subnote 34-5/64G exception (4)!

Duchy of Athens would be a "different" pick. But with the turks down, they might be an easier go... can snap up albania pretty easy!

Albania or Ragusa might not be a bad pick. They're far enough removed from the other players to be safe and with the Ottomans being weakened by the Knights they should be able to survive and prosper. Is Hellas still laive and kicking?

I think they are still a few italian minors that can be chosen.

yes, duchy of athens is still in, as is albania, ragusa, and cyprus.
ragusa is now a two province minor.

i was very close to annexing duchy of athens, (i was not alliance leader), but then someone made peace. although i still might not have, don't the bb would of been worth it at this stage.

cyprus would be interesting. with cb shields in mameluk territory, an alliance with venice, the knights, and georgia, and 500 ducats, we might have rival crusader states.

my savegame is corrupt. not sure what it is... i tried fixing the ai names for backpack, but that is all i can think of.
