So, exploring the new garrisoning and suppression mechanism. Started a game "back in the USSR" which of course starts off with some 18 NKVD divisions, built for occupation, but in the main army. Ready to dissolve / reallocate as garrison when Eastern Poland is handed over and if the Baltic States are occupied.

Game proceeds; build up, Poland, Benelux and France in late '39. Then Cairo. Then China. Then India. Scroll across map to see what has happened there and see "Vichy France" across India.

Mic drop and all credibility exits stage left . . .

FIX VICHY !!!

Vichy is a puppet created out of a defeated enemy; it is not a full partner in Axis.
That's what I want fixed; that's needed fixing since this game was launched . . .

I only ever see Vichy remain neutral until they're attacked. Hitler doesn't want his French puppy getting dunked on by the British

I'm playing in 1.8, but every time Vichy gets formed, they immediately end up at war with the Allies. This may have changed with LaR and the rework to the French tree, but as of prior versions, Vichy is pretty reliably an Axis member. And frequently, a more useful one than Italy.

My experience with Vichy France:
Attack France as Italy - boom, Vichy France established
Attack France as Spain - boom, Vichy France
Attack France as Liberia - boom, Vichy France :)

Honestly it is better to disable whole event tree :/.
