yup sure. But the way I see it: It allows you to be a warmonger while not gaining territory. If you don't want to blob, you can.
Not sure I get you. Humiliate as you say can be used for RP warmongering but it's also great for blobbing was my point because it makes you stronger faster than the alternative which is county conquests and natural population growth.

yup I see your point. What I like is that it allows you to go to war without necessarily expanding (even if you still get a bit more powerful). I'm not much into world conquests, and at some point, playing nomad can get a bit boring if you don't go to war or if you have to play against the world with defensive pacts. So having a CB which allows you to go to war without getting threat is interesting. (well I guess that Humiliate does not add up threat isn't it? Actually, I have no idea since I used it only once).

i suggest a late start game for india, anytime after 1212 AD, that area is very insane in that time period
OK thanks. This is not for a near future but I'll try to remember it when time will come ^^

Does anyone know what the exact requirements are to become khan of khans? (not the achievement, the mongol decision). Do I just need 35 holdings in my realm, or do i need 35 counts underneath me... or what?! I don't really get it.

According to the wiki:
  • Mongol culture
  • Nomadic (with Horse Lords DLC) or tribal (without Horse Lords).
  • At least 35 nomadic counties in realm.
A nomadic county is a county with less than 2 constructed holdings (I think that the capital slot must be empty too, but I'm not sure about that)
The decision is interesting since it sets the council laws in absolute power (abolition of council power) and with a good management of nomadic vassals (through clan sentiment), vassals will never ask for more council power (around 200 years after creating the mongol empire, I never got such faction even with 3 vassal merchant republics and 1 feudal kingdom which does not like me a lot).

Hum just to correct myself. For a province to be counted as nomadic province, the capital slot does not have to be empty, since for instance nomadic capital occupy this slot (and if you don't have any other holding in the province, it is counted as nomadic land). I don't know if it is the case when the capital slot is occupied by a tribal, castle, city or bishopric, but I can't see why it should be different.
So I guess, the only criterion for determining that a province is nomadic, is that it has no more than 1 slot occupied by a holding (and has to be in a nomadic realm of course).

LOVE IT !!!!

it is so refreshing, after playing CK2 for almost 3000 hours (according to steam) i was getting bored of it, but always came back for some achievement i felt i had to get, it felt like a chore most of the time, but playing as a nomad the game feels completely different. started 867 as a Cuman and its been great.

with how much fun im having with this playthrough im wondering what India is like to play is...i never bothered trying it, they seem so isolated, maybe indonesia expansion is needed ?

I have recently started my first game as a nomad and absolutely loving it they r great fun after so long playing tribal/feudal. As long as you get over the start it's insanely easy to just steamroll anybody!!

Started in Charlemagne bookmark and I'm in 885 now and I have a Mongol Empire covering virtually half the map and I have 60k gold in the bank after pillaging everything from China to Jerusalem!!!!!

now is when you should settle down your empire go feudal and then screw things up by roleplaying a bad ruler, lol its so much fun watching your empire burn around you
