Basically, a friend told me there is an update for game Stellaris, and told me to come play. So i did, i went to steam, turned it on, and pressed play from my library of games on Stellaris to play. At first it asks me to allow changes by Valve, i click yes, then pops out a tab that says its installing something, and after few seconds it shuts, and game is no longer attempting to start... Just like that. It just wont start up. Checking integridy didnt work, not even re-installing the whole game.

So i went here on Paradox Forums, to Stellaris tech supports. Logged in, and tried to get access to tech support. It then yelled at me there is an error, and that i have to link my steam to Paradox so that i can access it. I checked my Paradox account, but that said i already am linked to steam. So i tried to unlink and link back in, and the error still prevails.

So... i cannot anymore access the game, nor even the tech support. I reposted this from general to here.

Hey Folks,

I have Stellaris, just the ordinary sort without any of the expansion packs or anything which I play on Steam on a Windows 7 computer. Anyway, I recently downloaded a bunch of mods for it and upgraded from Version 1.9.1 to 2.3.0 and I can't play the game. The way this is, is I log in to steam and I click on the game like I ordinarily would. It goes though the "performing first time start up" deal with the little window in the center of the screen like it ordinarily would after a big update. Then, on the left side of the screen, where there's the list of all the games, there's the little thing that says running. From here it would usually just launch the game but instead, it says running for about a second and then turns blue and says "syncing", and then just doesn't play the game at all. I also own the game Hearts of Iron 4 and, because they're both Paradox games, I gave it a try and it doesn't work either, it does the same thing. However, I tried a bunch of my non Paradox games and they work fine. I tried uninstalling both games and reinstalling them, but it didn't do anything. I was interested in the word "syncing" and so came here, I have already synced my Steam and Paradox accounts but I noticed that only Stellaris is on my Paradox account and Hearts of Iron isn't. I suspected that this could be the root cause of the problem so I resynced the two accounts and Hearts of Iron is still not showing up. What should I do?

Peace,
Big Funky Joe
