First slow windows, now crashing

Installed the game via impulse, it ran flawlessly for a week with the exception of the slow character windows. NOW the game crashes after 2 hours of play. When I do verify installation impulse says it's not installed correctly and updates it, then it's fine. After the next crash the game is detected as installed incorrectly and impulse updates it again. What gives?

Have Impulse released their version of the 2.2 patch yet? I imagine the Paradox one won't install on the Impulse edition ... ?

Impulse has released VV 2.2 patch. However their "Verify Installation" button does not work correctly (it will say the installation is incorrect after each play, because the files change and will install a minor update, which is unnecessary).

My Rome:VV is from Impulse (v2.1), which I updated using the Paradox patch 2.2 on release (from Gamersgate). However once you do this, never click the "Verify Installation" again or the installation will get corrupted.

My suggestion:
- Uninstall the game. Delete local game files as well, some might not get uninstalled (If you want to know where they are, right-click on the game icon in Impulse and select "Open application folder").
- Re-download the files and reinstall.
- If it's 2.1, update to 2.2 via Impulse
- Never click the "Verify Installation" and you should be OK...
