Once people start playing what are some easy things people will forget about and result in them getting steamrolled. Stuff like just building divisions with all equipment and not having spare equipment when the war starts

"We can now report that Canadian troops has seized our city of Kiel while apologising profusely".The mistake I will make, in my first playthrough as Canada, is thinking my soldiers' politeness will grant them an advantage on the battlefield.
- Drinking too much while playing
My kind of humorI don't understand.
Can't be worse than playing Great Britain and offering the Germans a nice cup of tea to get into the fighting spirit before battle. The mistake I will make, in my first playthrough as Canada, is thinking my soldiers' politeness will grant them an advantage on the battlefield.
I don't think any rational being can judge an entire nation of people based off of one small incident that happened over 100 years ago.My mistake will obviously be about not building economy properly in time, and accidentally trading out all my resources in exchange of something I don't need, to the point I don't have them when war begins.
Canadians? Polite?
Hah, the last time I checked, they behaved in such a gross way against Indians and non-whites until a few decades ago, even Nazis would start considering them their socio-ideological compatriots. Komagata Maru incident, anyone?![]()

Stockpiling too much.
Researching lots of naval techs, winning the war at sea in six months, then realizing your land army is awful and can't beat the enemy on the ground.
Rushing for oil-producing regions, forgetting that your panzerdivisions run on fairy dust.
