So, about 50 years into my first 1.5 (non-Utopia) game, I decided to see what factions there were around the galaxy. I tag-switched around and made a list, and here's what I found.
Factions Across the Galaxy:

Militarist:

Drumbeat of Victory Party
Red Legion
Crimson warrior lodge
Veterans for victory movement
Martial order of the thorn
Strength through conquest coalition

Authoritarian:
Hierarchical Union
Citizen obedience party
Peace and order movement
Loyal citizenry group
Obedience, loyalty and duty vanguard

Xenophobe:
Jess'Inax superiority front
Spuxulac Unity vanguard
Jogollowa primacy movement
Valdari supremacy vanguard

Spiritualist:
Conclave of spiritual redemption

Prosperity:
Resource control network
National finance coalition
Resource control board
Economic development initiative
Prosperity board
Financial regulation group
National finance association
United economists party
National investment league
Economic security initiative
Wealth promotion coalition

Egalitarian:
Citizens for freedom league
Citizen self determinism group
Citizen self determinism watch
Free thought movement
Free elections league
Liberty now league
Democratic rights party

Xenophile:
Xeno suffrage network
Xeno Reform committee
Alien equality coalition
Xeno liberty party
Xeno friendship movement
Alien justice group
Xeno reform party

Materialist:
Institute of technological mastery
Institute of robotics sciences

Isolationists:
Non-interventionist association
National preparedness network

There's some interesting things about this list. For one thing, there's only one spiritualist faction in the galaxy. For another, isolationist and materialist factions are also fairly rare. Meanwhile, pretty much everyone has a prosperity party, and most have an egalitarian party, no matter the bent of the empire.

I'll continue revising this list as the game goes on, and would love it if other people would submit ones they spot in their games.
