Just quit my first game in 1900 as Argentina, game looks cool, but could use a little tweaking.

-Craftsmen fail to get their life needs. They are working in a profitable factory, but get something like 23% of their life needs. Tried lowering taxes, not helping.

-Rebellion! At any given time, about 25% of the globe is overrun by rebels. I've had every single faction pop up, repeatably, including 300k Commie uprisings. The remedy for Bolshevism is bullets, but 10% of the population taking to the streets, armed and well? Loads of strange counties popping up as well.

-Immigration, starting somewhere in 1880, they come. Like the stars. Went from 200k starting to 3M in 1900 population. Interestingly, judging from the army sprites, these are the same unwashed masses that love to join Commie rebellions.

-Industry subsidies. How the hell do I turn these off? went from +50 to -150 income as soon as my factories starting going into the red. Ruling party: Conservatives. I close the factory, but some idiot keeps re-opening them. Very annoying.

-Brigades frequently join the rebels, especially if they are in the capital, in true Latin American style.

-I can't enact any policy changes due to my Upper house being in disagreement. This leads to pissed off POPs and rebellion.

-Colonization, can't do this due to life rating, this probably has something to do with techs.

-Imperialism, USA ate a bit of Brazil and decided to become neighbours.

Just quit my first game in 1900 as Argentina, game looks cool, but could use a little tweaking.

I've been playing Argentina too for my first game... can't answer 'em all but:

-Craftsmen fail to get their life needs. They are working in a profitable factory, but get something like 23% of their life needs. Tried lowering taxes, not helping.

-Rebellion! At any given time, about 25% of the globe is overrun by rebels. I've had every single faction pop up, repeatably, including 300k Commie uprisings. The remedy for Bolshevism is bullets, but 10% of the population taking to the streets, armed and well? Loads of strange counties popping up as well.

Well documented points... I tweaked the Craftsmen .txt file. There's a discussion ongoing in the mod section and at least 1 other thread here. Rebellion is also a well documented thing in need of balancing.

-Immigration, starting somewhere in 1880, they come. Like the stars. Went from 200k starting to 3M in 1900 population. Interestingly, judging from the army sprites, these are the same unwashed masses that love to join Commie rebellions.

Likely WAD. The Americas get a bonus for immigration, with it gradually shifting from America's to USA as the game progresses. Not ahistorical in my opinion.

-Brigades frequently join the rebels, especially if they are in the capital, in true Latin American style.

WAD. Brigades are tied to soldier POPs. POPs that revolt will cause their associated brigades to revolt. It's in the guide/ strat guide IIRC.

Dunno.

Just started a new game with craftsmen needs divided by 10, let's see if that works.
