the User Interface looks good. I love the tabs at the top labeled. HoI2 looks like it will have a shallower learning curve because things will be slightly easier to wade through.

That would be a big plus and could help HOI2 move into a more mainstream marketability.

Some buttons that show army, navy and air force symbols. You can click to the different services without scrolling through the stack?

Looks more like HOI v1.07 with updated graphics and interface. Of course things will hopefully change! Don't like the font used for the province names (Courier New?)... actually quite accurate going by documents of the time but still quite ugly!

There is a row of buttons toward the top left... possibly to show air, sea or ground units only (or production of such)? The one on the right of these is most intriguing... suggests some sort of heirarchy viewer/organiser.

There is no pause button (unless you just click on the date to stop the action). There is still a counter for nukes.

I wonder if the facing of the vehicles is relevant (apart from aesthetics).

The hex map still seems a little province-shaped!

I believe the word "alpha" is the key one here, guys.

It makes at lot of sense that the alpha version will have a lot of things transplanted from HoI as placeholders.

Still looks impressive though, and it can only get better from now on, as newer stuff is introduced.
