I have played many different iterations of CK2 since I got the game just after Old Gods but the Iberian Peninsula is a personal favourite. Starting as the King of Castile in 1066 I have risen the Emperor of Hispania and Mali and I can finally say that I have enjoyed the entire journey.

The new Reapers Due DLC has just made the whole experience more memorable and gave me fond experiences that I have not had since the implementation of Way of Life. For example having my eye taken out miraculously cured me of pneumonia, several frogs where cut open and placed on my chest to cure me of the flu and I was maimed by a sacrificial antelope.

It was also my first experience of Conclave DLC which although sometimes frustrating gave me a few civil wars to straighten out the realm. All in all the experience has been really enjoyable and I want to thank paradox for this great experience.

What are peoples thoughts on the DLC? Any memorable moments from your recent games? Sorry if this post is a little self serving I just had to share this experience.

In my current game as the pagan King of Pomerania my very first King was highly successful. He formed the Kingdom, expanded into Lithuania, and then butchered the Poles twice when they tried to holy war him. Then, when he got older, he developed cancer. But the Court Physician was a relatively skilled individual, and his risky treatment worked! Only problem was the fact that even though King Krutoj no longer had cancer, he was now a eunuch (I can only assume he had testicular cancer and the physician got lucky. No big deal, since he already had enough kids. Then that physician died, and I hired another. This one was... not so great. The King developed gout, and the physician decided that the best option would be to have the King snort ground up scabs. Naturally this went horribly, so the King imprisoned his physician, sacrificed him to the Ancestors for good health, and went about looking for a new physician. He came upon a blind mystic whom he hired, and then got to try a 'mystical' treatment on him (he managed to survive the aforementioned horrible treatment). This mystical treatment involved the blind mystic committing ritualized suicide with a knife, which drove the King insane and (surprise, surprise) did literally nothing to heal his gout. Then the King died not long after due to complications related to his gout.
