Yes, I agree.
No, I do not agree.

(Erase that which does not fit).

There, now I've answered for everybody on the forum. If I may make a suggestion, perhaps you could give some informative details and then invite a discussion of some particular issue, since that is what the forum is for?

First Battle of narvik on Apr.10 was an unmitigated disaster for the RN with one ship sunk and two damaged.

the second was a huge success - due to the presence of HMS Warspite and the fact that the German destropyers were out of fuel.

Unmitigated disaster , here we go , everything the brits did in WW2 was a disaster or if they achieved something it was pure luck yes. The 2nd Destroyer Flotilla (Capt. Warburton-Lee) with Hardy, Havock, Hostile, Hotspur and Hunter, enters Ofotfiord to attack the German ships assigned to the occupation of Narvik. These include 10 large destroyers. Several transports are sunk together with destroyers ANTON SCHMITT (AS) and WILHELM HEIDKAMP (WM) in Narvik Bay. Other German destroyers are damaged, but as the British 2nd Flotilla retires, HARDY is beached and HUNTER sunk by the remaining German ships and Hotspur badly damaged.
There was twice as many german destroyers there, than was reported, also german destroyers was much larger than there british counterparts and better armed. And the second battle was not a matter of fuel , more a ammunition problem for the germans and in all reports that didnt play any factor they just fought very very poorly on the day. A disaster for Capt. Warburton-Lee I dont think so, he acted very very bravely in the face of overwhelming odds. He was posthumously awarded the Victoria Cross.

Indeed you were. If I knew everything that happened at any date in history (instead of ninety percent ;) ) why should I be here looking for more information or an interesting discussion? In fact if that were so your post would be entirely useless since presumably everybody would not only know what you were talking about but agree with you.
