Hi all,

It's 1732 and the mighty greyskin has conquered Europe (save 3 Portuguese provinces), half of Asia, most of Africa and half of the new world. Ming, Orissa (allied at the moment) and Mexico are the only enemies worth mentioning. Though I am still thinking how should I conquer India properly, at this stage I am fairly confident that I can do a WC, with truce breaks if I must. However, a big problem is that my PU Poland & Lithuania simply don't convert their land!! Should I integrate them later on and convert everything myself with a massive cathedral spam?

By the way, I have >100 absolutism, completed diplomatic, first 2 of adm, and first 2 of influence. Didn't realize it could be a WC until I got a lucky PU on Poland and GB within 5 years, otherwise would have picked influence much earlier :(

Do you have the CoC DLC? Then you could use your own missionaries to help them convert.

plc will rarely convert stuff, since they have high tolerance of heretics. And I doubt you'll have time to integrate him, since you need to wait 50 years first before you can start the progress. Might be possible to do it. Worse case you can release him and attack him.

Unfortunately no, but even though I had I still have a bunch of my provinces to convert.... would it help if I release some client states after diplo-annexing them??

Maybe, if they do not go humanist or have tolerance in their ideas.

Its 1732, he is Austria, he can have Admin and Influence filled out by then, there is an Age ability.
That integration isnt going to take more then 10 years if hes not just inheriting them outright.

Should I integrate them later on and convert everything myself with a massive cathedral spam?
Spam them anyway.
As long as you can get all the land in time the conversion shouldnt be the problem.

they convert if republics not monarchies

Correct. AI will never convert at positive tolerance, but will at 0 or less. Client state republics will always have exactly 0 tolerance of heathens, unless the religion itself gives more (do not try getting them to convert if Sunni/Fetish/Tengri/Hindu etc). Any Christian faith will work.

That said, they're not the best option since they don't take religious or have missionaries/conversion strength NIs, so you're stuck with Christian decisions + cathedral spam with them. Not bad, but any releasable nation that takes religious is probably better.

Dont give lands to nations with tolerance of heathens/heretics(or humanist ideas) because they dont convert(look at india - everything is sunni but noone is converting because every sunni got tolerance). Poland AI usually goes humanist and got tolerance so its bad.
I suggest u doing some vassal feed with nations having some conversion/missionary in national ideas + taking religious.... Im not sure about all of them but najd, novgorod, majapahit, nubian nations, ajuran are great for that kind of thing

Thanks guys! I got my first ever WC at 1797, but sadly one faith failed as many of my vassals didn't convert! Not even Castille!
I guess one faith are much harder than WC, will try again later with Coptic Ottomans.

Now that you have the world conquest, when you do one faith, remember you don't need to actually conquer the world. So if you were going to go Coptic Ottomans, you can support Ethiopia without any intention of ever taking their land. Another option is Orthodox Ottomans, where you let Muscovy/Russia just do it's thing, help them become a juggernaut and they can be a huge help taking down Ming in the midgame.

If your having trouble taking down Ming as Ottos, you (not you specifically kino) probably are not ready for WC

For one faith you need to know which country pick which ideas and what their national ideas are if you use vassals. Don't pick countries that pick humanist idea group and/or has tolerance of heretic/heathens. Client state are bad for convertinng land. Never give european countries TC area land, they will never convert those provinces.

If you're confident you can finish the WC early enough for One Faith, Orthoman would make for an easier game than Coptoman. In either case stay Sunni until you can get out of HRE Persia.
If you're going to abandon coptomans your next best choice is cathomans.
I even prefer them over coptomans.

Orthomans were a fad in 1.17 or sth. Fell out of favor rather quickly. They're nowhere near as good as starting the game by revoking in 1500.

I don't think it's possible to revoke in 1500 as Ottomans. Ottoman HRE expands faster but it's a lot more tedious than normal blobbing. Orthoman gives -3 to -6 unrest and has strong conversion rate which are traded for 10 CCR. The -25% harsh treatment also frees up more mil points for boosting professionalism. 10 CCR means slower expansion but if op doesn't have trouble with the WC part of the OF then Orthoman would make for a smoother game.

Took way to few screens back then, it was one of my first runs. Only thing I could find was no swarm in 1515 (can't see amount of reforms) and already revoked in 1566.

BI triggered for me around 1470 afterwards you just expand into Horde land, Scandinavia, England or all three at the same time.
The rest is "add to HRE" for 20 minutes.

Bit of RNG involved and can take until 1580 if Austria dies before you're christian, BI doesn't fire, etc. but 1500 should be very much possible.

Of course it's more enjoyable to play Orthodox nations, but in terms of raw power you just can't beat getting the whole HRE for free.
