When there's a fire, the fire-copters come out and do their job. This is well and good as they drop their little bucket loads of water on the fire. The problem is the fire engines don't bother to assist and will actually drive past a burning building and return to the station as though they're not going to interfere with the copter guys.

You would think that this would be a team-effort type of thing with both the fire-copters dropping their few sprinkles on the fires while the trucks arrive and help put the fire out.

In the meantime....

A commercial stretch, which butts up against some woodlands, got totally burned to a crisp as the fire trucks drove by while the copters visited the river to drop their sneeze-size amounts of water on the fire.

Same with ambulances. My hospitals doesn't even send them out anymore and just relies on the copters to bring in the sick.

I do like it that there are emergency services that can't get held up in traffic, however, would have figured that they would be an assist and not the primary.

The helicopter priority policy does exactly that, land vehicles just go on siesta. If you don't have it enabled anywhere then there is a problem, either mod interference or an actual bug.

Thanks for the info. I didn't know this existed and will check it out. Hopefully it will get the fireman's union to work together with the copter-firefighter union and they'll fight the fires. If they don't well, well we'll know it's a bugged.
