I'd like to say that, of all the AARs I've read, this one is my favorite, and likely forever shall be. The French turnabout was one of the most masterful scenes short of user-created events possible, I must say, and the rest of the AAR following was nothing short of spectacular.
Oh, and I'd like to see progress on the mod!
Lloyien, thank you and welcome!
I particularly liked that eminently unplanned fast-retreat and then fast-turnabout myself! I was getting very nervous, and yet the computer handed me a way out.
As for the mod, I've gotten quite some ways into it, but have gotten very busy and it will be on hold for a couple of months. No matter -- I wouldn't have time to continue the story just now, anyway! But I'd expect that sometime next year you'll be able to see progress on the mod, if not an HOI continuation of Kaiser Waldemar's reign.
That is not to say that I have forgotten about my other AARs, which I have not. I'm near to being ready to update both of them... just not there yet.

And what happened to letting the old bird die?
Anyways, I assume you'll let us all know when the continuation shows.
As to difficulties converting forward to HoI2, this is the reason why I bought Revolutions and switched my own AAR to it. In case the AAR runs off, there's a way to move forward.
This being the AAR that first, back when you almost lost to France, convinced me to buy the game, and secondly, convinced me to start writing an AAR of my own, I feel a certain affection for
Fire Warms. You, sir, have made an epic of this wonderful masterpiece. I salute you!
FJ44, when I said that I might not continue, I really had no idea where I might take it. Since then I've acquired a vision for an epic struggle that I think would fit very finely into the tradition of Fire Warms!
I have not purchased Revolutions yet. I'm sure I will, as I really love some of the improvements. But I don't have time to play it now, anyway. The conversion stuff, as far as I can tell, only covers things I've converted already, so I'm not sure it would be helpful to me.
Thank you,
FJ, for your kind comments! I am proud to have spawned your interest in Victoria, and am certainly glad that you have decided to take on an AAR. As you know, I'm a huge fan of your writing and your rich and flavorful Japan AAR!
I'm actually thinking about doing a Japan AAR in HOI myself. But I'd probably want to wait until some of the flurry of these settle down (and, naturally, until I have more time to play!).

This AAR needs a Sticky ^^
Deamon and
Zauberfloete, thank you! I appreciate your kindness!
I am content to see this bob up and down the front page. It's had its time in the "fire-y warmth" of the sun. There is a set of very talented AARs occupying the top spots now, as they well should! I'm afraid I haven't been able to keep up on all of them, but it's certainly my intent to catch up.
