Wow! This was incredible! I have lurked here since page ~40 but had never (until now) mustered up the courage to get an account (don’t ask). This will be an eternal masterpiece on the Paradox forums.
I am too! But it's taking much longer that I would have hoped.Rey said:I'm (very) excited to see a continuation to this great aar!![]()

I'm playtesting the mod, although it's only about 1/3 finished... Interesting, but I find very odd things popping up when I find "vanilla HOI" elements invading my carefully made story!![]()
Thanks for your encouragement!

Anyone who has a favorite part, I would be glad to hear it!

The French invasion turnabout -- the one with Chapelle in his first appearance -- I think was some of my best writing. I'm really glad you liked it!Avernite said:humm. Probably the failed French invasion that got through the Rhineland and almost wrecked Prussia before it became great.
Now this surprises me, actually, because I wasn't that sure if I even liked the scene. I wanted to introduce Willy's British relatives, and emphasize the fact that everyone was inter-related. I also wanted to point out the early age at which these royals began to get serious rank and responsibility, etc. That's what the scene was there for, but I wasn't sure how it would come off.Deamon said:I like the scene with the princes, the one wants to be a Prussian Cavalry man and the other one a British sailor/captain or...
It had something to it
You're right... The passage is definitely referring to Ludendorff... Must have meant Ipswitch instead of Dundee...GhostWriter said:this looks like a typo to me, Renss. either Dundee should be something else, or Ludendorff should be Hindenburg...
needless to say, i am getting towards the end of this magnificent tome! !![]()
I am wholly flattered, Roy, thank you!GhostWriter said:having just finished re-reading this fantastic AAR, Rensslaer, i figured out what is my favorite part - all of it ! !![]()
