Finnish continuation war.

In my game (As the UK, playing as historically as possible), when Germany DoWed Denmark, Sweden offered to join my alliance, so I accepted in order to keep a substantial German Garrison in Copenhagen

Then, Norway joined after Germany DoWed them.

Finally, post winter war with everything nice and happy, Finland asked to join my alliance. This would secure the north sea and my northern flank in the war against Germany, and thus I accepted.

However, following a Japanese DoW on me/USA (dec41) German DoW on the SU (mar 42), Finland DoWed the soviet union through the continuation war event, putting me at war with the SU, just after I dowed Persia for not giving transit rights.

Now I have a 2 front war with the SU, the SU has a 2 front war, I am fighting in North Africa, Indochine, Hong Kong, Persia and Scandinavia. Argh.

Anyway, could I possibly recommend an event where Finland ask the alliance leader (UK) whether they can DoW the soviet union to retake their lands? and whether the UK would support them.

reminds me of rum joining axis befor sov asks for beloruss and rum dows sov :lol
its stuff that is not happening often and you must think twice if you let it.
I allready had a bad one with no MR pact, but i went for poland anway. Sov got a bit mad and canceled the NR pact in '39..oops ofc i was no way prepared for a early war with Russia...

Wow, sounds like a nice twist of events. Despite it going against your plans I think that might develop into a great game.

But yes, if Finland is part of allies for some reason I think continuation war event should be slept, at least until surrender of Germany. Perhaps making that event to have as a trigger where UK-Finnish alliance will prevent the event from firing unless German surrender event has already occurred?
