It's hard to believe the UK did not DoW you before that
If you attacked, Norway, Sweden, Spain, Potugal and the three Baltic states, thats 7 (Seven!) DoWs, probably ramping your threat up to 200+. Anyone (well except maybe Switzerland, Bolivia and Tibet^^) could have dowed you at that point.
Maybe the ideology similarity kept your threat below that threshold the Allies usually have, or more likely you only crossed that treshold after they had already picked on Germany and were not eager to make more enemies even if those countries are rogue states.
Germany however does not care that much about adding another country to the "countries I really don't like and will totally invade just for lolz" list.
