The date is February 1941. I have managed to lure in 4m soviets into my territory, wore them out, and then encircled them. Afterwards I had a successful offensive that secured Karelia.
FxyDKa1.png

I have over 100k manpower to spare, with 44 divisions with this template (rest of my divisions are garrisoning ports to prevent invasion):
zN0kHjQ.png

Yes, I should really use some of that XP... Tank Destroyers will finnish soon so I will have armor for my units eventually, will use XP on that, and yes I am using XP on doctrine, it is just so much army XP incoming lately, and no template ideas.
I also have 8 Paratroopers and 12 transport.
The air war is going well, I focused what I could on Fighters, so I have good KD ratios with the SU but not able to achieve 75% superiority for paradrops.
After my offensive I reached a stalemate. I need to capitulate them before Germany attacks and gobbles up what I have weakened. Since casualities caused does not give warscore, I will get nothing by joining the Axis in the offensive.
Ov6oFdC.png

This is the situation now in February 41. I took Norway and Denmark early since I am going for the Northern Lights achievement, so I had to do it before Germany.
Any advice on how to break the stalemate? The Sovets have stopped their offensive against me. They only have around 1m manpower in fielded divisions! That means I have taken out most of their army. Although they are well supplied again, they are weak, but I don't know how to take advantage.

If you are not in the Axis you can block German troops.. SU totally collapsed when Germany invaded. 1942:

Well done there. But the collapse by Germany is due to poor manpower management with USSR by AI. So I am not sure if I'd be happy or unhappy about the collapse. At lease the manpower drain was caused by mighty Finland.

Has there been any mention of such? We finns have been waiting for that thing for yeaaaars now. (Seriously, generic focus tree still???)

It's common knowledge that the devs like to create focus trees in groups of related countries, and given that they mentioned a USSR rework would "make sense next" (ABOUT TIME) I am 110% sure Finland is going to come along in the same dlc, its an easy bet.

Fascist generic focus tree is very good (and very boring), but yes Finland deserves more. At least conquering SU as Finland will become an achievement next update, community contest winner "Finnish Him!" :) Will be doing this run again after the Soviet Union DLC, where I hope Finland gets a new focus tree to play with. Then I will try doing this as neutral Finland. I think it is stupid that you HAVE to go fascist to have manpower as a minor, but I think a new Finnish tree will have manpower modifiers.

The 'Sisu' modifier carries over to the Nordic Empire once formed. Meaning you will have +20% attack and defence on a lot of cores, and the attrition and org recovery bonus. Very formidable. Unfortunately there is no way to unite Scandinavia before the Winter War.. yet. I hope for further and greater exploits awaiting C.G Mannerheim in future DLC. Where I also hope unique Finnish equipment icons are added, and new 3d models/reskins.

Mannerheim is probably the best general in the game stats wise.

Yes and if you can stand against the Red Army he will get VERY high stats.
Isn't leader speeches now a thing? I wish they include his speech adressing the Swedish volunteers, and thanking them for their valor. It is very beautiful.
However in my game the Swedes refused to send aid, of course this upset Mannerheim greatly.
