Maby but I am quite worried about Spain, of course you could just focus on bad relations with them, DoW Sweden and when Spain refuses to help you become the alliance leader.

RM never succeed when relation is between -5 and +15.
somehow I got the impression that requests to join an alliance stand a better chance outside this range too.
